A wandering dark blue she drinks alone

Stormpaw lapped up the water, her muscles aching. She kept her ears pricked. She smelled other cats nearby, and did not want to disturb them. She sighed. A little rest wouldn't hurt. She closed her eyes, sleep almost immediately darkening the young shecat's mind.

Now, Tealpaw grew bored of talking with three adults. They were boring, and the spider and four butterflies had gotten away.
Oooh, another kitty-kitty?
And she was his age, too! He leaped down from the rock he stood on.
Just above that pool thingy.

And suddenly the tortoiseshell tom realized he wasn't with his mother...ah, a chance to really explore!
"Hey!" Tealpaw yelped, not really registering it through his head that she was, in fact, asleep. He jumped forward until he stood right above her. "Wake up."

[Wow, that was a bad post, but I just got home from school.

Wake up.
Eh? Whazzat? Stormpaw yawned, then slowly blinked open her blue eyes. She suddenly snapped awake, her eyes wide and ears pricked.
"I'm sorry... really I am... I'll be goi-" Stormpaw was cut off in the middle of her apology. The tom wasn't a giant warrior, only a small cat her age. She sighed in relief.
"Cranepaw, come here," Stormpaw murmured. A silent figure moved through the water like a snake towards the rocks, as white as a cloud and as black as the night. A beautiful shecat stepped out, the water on her pelt shining in the sun. Stormpaw seemed unfazed by the beauty of the delicate figure.
"Come over here, Cranepaw," she meowed again. Cranepaw began forward, then stopped short when she saw Tealpaw.
"Who are you?" she said, a mixture of politeness, fear and apprehension. Her long black tail flicked, sending drops of water into the air that landed in the pool, their ripples overlapping.

"I'm a Tealpaw," Tealpaw meowed proudly, puffing out his chest and grinning. But then he grew solemn. "And I'm training to be a big, strong warrior of Mistclan, so you better have a good reason fer bein' here, or I'm gonna boot you out!"
He hopped back to give her some space.
"So...What's your good reason fer bein' here? It better not be, 'I need a place to rest, or you get the boot!"

[Runner]

"I'm thirsty," meowed Stormpaw. "Plus, yes, I am tired. And how can you boot me out? There's only one of you, and two of us." Stormpaw snickered. Cranepaw smiled.
"Pardon my friend. I'm Cranepaw, and she's Stormpaw."
