Waterdance watched as his friend jumped in to say what he had thought about clans. Good thing he stopped him from opening his mouth again. Yet he was about to say something but ended up sneezing instead. His gaze looked longing at the deep pool of icy water. Then gave a snort at the clan cats. "Yeah misery isn't one thing I'll let my friend endure again with any clan. No matter what you all say about this one." He turned and padded off to join along side Oathkeeper. "I really wanted to go for a swim too," he mewed sadly above a whisper to himself. Maybe he'll just have to find another body of water around.

Andromeda watched the two retreating toms. She frowned, tail waving just softly behind her. The plan, if there had been one, probably hadn't been to chase them off. Now she felt /really/ guilty. Her intention was never to be mean to people.
I'm sorry
The words were soft, as if maybe she thought she'd just get snarled at if they were actually heard.

She is the prom queen I'm in the marching band She is a cheerleader I'm sitting in the stands I get a little bit She gets a little more She's Miss America
Medium looked sideways at Andromeda. He himself felt only a little uncomfortable; they had the wrong idea, and Medium and his friend had corrected them, albeit rather harshly, and to no avail.
But Andromeda really looked guilty. Most cats would have just done it; they would have stepped toward nad and tried to comfort her. But Medium was an insecure cat. He never said it and rarely even thought it, but he was.
The brown tom moved toward Andromeda as if to reassure her somehow, then hesitated, his muddy amber gaze wavering and falling. He looked slightly down to avoid meeting her gaze. He worried that getting to close would be bad. So he stalled out and looked away, now uncomfortable for an entirely new reason.
Friends helped each other, right? But Medium felt awkward. Poor guy.

Andromeda's eyes flicked over to Medium when he moved. Towards her? And then he stopped. And looked at the ground like he'd changed his mind. Or maybe he was trying to disappear again.
I didn't mean to chase them off.
She turned to look at Medium. Was she really this upset, just over two strangers? It appeared she was indeed. A little bit of reassurance that she wasn't awful wouldn't go amiss.

Medium looked down briefly, then raised his head and looked at Andromeda from the corners of his dark amber eyes.
"I...I know you didn't," he meowed softly. "You're too nice of a cat to do something like that on purpose." He tapped her briefly with her tail, almost hesitently, as if she would take offense.

Well, Medium's reassurance seemed to be enough for Andromeda. She watched the retreating cats again for a moment, then turned back to her friend. If they didn't want to stay here, that was their business, and she wouldn't stop them from leaving.
What about the rest of the exploring? There's more to this territory than a big waterfall... though maybe not anything else you can jump off of as easily.
There was a hint of joking in her voice, and she tapped him back, grinning slightly.

Medium sighed in mock-sadness. "Alas," he meowed, nodding.
A smile flickered back over his plain face. "So...lead the way?" It was definately a question. "You know more about the lay of the land around here than I do."

Andromeda grinned. She really didn't know this territory any better than Medium probably did, but she was willing to take the lead! Let's go... see the oak tree? I think it's climbable... you should enjoy that.
Andromeda wasn't sure she could climb, or that she'd be able to get down if she got up, but trees were always nice. She took a few bounding steps in the general direction of the oak tree, and then turned to look over her shoulder at Medium. She didn't want to run off without him!
