Redpaw padded through the tall grass, his fluffy ginger tail high in the air.
Brown…Oh Billy Brown!
Don’t let the stars get you down;
Don’t let the waves let you drown;
Brown…Oh Billy Brown!
Gonna pick you up like a paper cup;
Gonna shake the water out of every nook;
Oh Billy Brown...!
His sweet young voice carried through the air, and an Ocicat-patterened she-cat sang softly beside him. But suddenly she stopped.
The scent-markers had changed. Redpaw, Missy mewed. We're on new territory! Redpaw stopped, tipping his head to the side. So we are! he meowed, then smiled and padded on, singing even louder.
Oh Billy Brown needed a place, somewhere to go.
He found an island off the coast of Mexico
Leaving his lover and his family behind.
Oh Billy Brown needed to find some peace of mind.
Missy hissed in surprise and leaped after Redpaw. Redpaw, quit it! she hissed.
Why? Redpaw stopped and whipped around. His pale green eyes shone; he was having fun, and he didn't want to stop.
No, he wasn't gonna stop just 'cause they reached new territory.
No one's gonna attack two little cats, he assured her. They couldn't be like MurderClan.
He suddenly turned back around and began to sing once more.
And on his journey and his travels on the way,
He met a girlie who was brave enough to say,
When they made love he shared the burden of his mind.
Oh Billy Brown you are a victim of the times.
Missy gazed forlornly as she stood and Redpaw kept going. They wouldn't attack two little cats; if they attacked, they'd only be attacking one.
Brown…Oh Billy Brown.
Don’t let the stars get you down.
Don’t let the waves let you drown.
Brown…Oh Billy Brown.
Gonna pick you up like a paper cup.
Gonna shake the water out of every nook.

Redpaw stopped. Why wasn't Missy following him? He looked over his shoulder at the Ocicat and frowned. Missy, whatcha doin'? he meowed.
Just... Missy shook her head. Nothing.
Redpaw shrugged and trotted on, his voice carrying on through the territory.
Oh Billy Brown had lived an ordinary life.
Two kids, a dog, and a cautionary wife.
While it was all going according to plan
Then Billy Brown fell in love with another man...
Brown…Oh Billy Brown!
