[FROM: "The Van's Arrival"]
The new Mistclan warrior, Trillium, and the Mistclan leader, Whisperstar arrived at the camp.
Trillium's eyes took a few long minutes to gaze around her new, and hopefully permanent, home. She couldn't be all to sure on the 'permanent', however. Vagabonds that passed her old marsh home had often told of stories involving struggles for control, and cats being abducted by other clans when out on hunting missions. The van dismissed these as mere stories. It seemed that nothing could happen to a glorious place like this.
The roar of the waterfall created a soothing background sound for the entire camp, and Trillium at once seemed at peace.

((OOC: The transition was great XD))
Whisperstar shook some of the water from her thin coat as they stepped into the MistClan Camp through the waterfall. the echos of dripping water sounded all around the cavern, as the various holes and caverns led twisting downwards and upwards. She motioned her tail over toward a set of caves in the far end
"Those are the Warrior quarters, where you may sleep and stay. To the left of that is the Apprentice den, then the Elders, Medicine Cats, and Nursing Den. On the very right of the cavern," Her tail flicked the opposite direction. "Is my den. I stay in there a lot of the time, usually, so in case you need me try in there."
She looked around again, wet moisture clinging to her whiskers
"That jut of rock near our right is where I hold Clan meetings if I want to call the Clan together for something. And I believe thats about it. Any... questions?"
She smiled and stretched a bit, it had been a good day so far.

Trillium gazed at the waterfall's cascading mass. It was so beautiful. Before she got lost in the beautiful rhythm of falling water, she allowed herself to ask Whisperstar, "I hope that this does not hint at weakness, but I don't smell traces of many cats here. Who are the other cats in Mistclan?"

Whisperstar nodded a bit and bowed her head slightly at that. Indeed, Trillium had caught a slight mishap of MistClan. But it wasn't just MistClan who was suffering from depravity of members, but also the other Clans.
"Not all that long ago, many many cats from all four Clans have been killed or taken, whether by the two-legs and their dogs or from a deadly sickness that spread across the area. Only few survived, and all the leaders did. I don't know if any of them lost a life or two, but it's likely. Our Medicine Cat is still here, and she should be around as well. But we are weak at this point. I believe the only reason we havn't been attacked is because the other Clans are in the same state we are."
She looked around the empty Camp, the water dripping from the walls seemed even more lonely, echoing with emptyness.
"But, we are growing. More cats, like yourself, have been finding their way here. Small cats who lost their family to the two-legs or plague, or warriors from far away. Soon will be the time when all four Clans will prosper again... and this I believe to be true."

Trillium nodded in grim understanding. Her parents had told tales of plague and drought from the distant past in her homeland. They said that their clan had been nearly destroyed in the two years that the epedemic lasted. Silently, she thanked Starclan that all four of the clans in this land had survived, if even in small numbers.
"I look forward to meeting these other newcommers. They're in the same patrol* as I am, after all."
(* Ugh. I was trying to think of a feline synonym to "we're all in the same boat", etc. I fail. =p )

[ From: And tears come down like rain]
Tearstream bounded into the camp, eyes cautiously surveying the small camp. She took in the sights and smells, quite pleased. She paused uncertainly as she spotted Whisperstar and Trillium speaking, unsure of what her reaction was expected to be. She had spent a short time alienated, but her loss of contact for the time had desintigrated her habits and morals, leaving only uncertainty and a mild cynicalness. She grinned sharply, a sheepish look on her face. She, since meeting Whisperstar, was beginning to regain her proper behaviours. She had been so very happy when she came upon the clan leader that her normal person was slightly altered. And she remained changed, but less so than before.

Whisperstar nodded a bit and then opened her muzzle to speak when Tearstreams's entrance through the waterfall caught her eye. She smiled a bit and looked back toward Trillium.
"And here is another MistClan Warrior, Tearstream. Tearstream, this is Trillium, and such and so forth."
She chuckled and blinked a bit, looking around the cavern that served as the MistClan Camp. The roaring waterfall at the entrance made things a bit deafening, but eventually the MistClan cats would get used to it. It helped with the hearing, after all.

Tearstream nodded bluntly, a mild grin flickering over her face. " I'm pleased to make your aquaintince, Trillium. " She mueled, a coy dip of the head accenting her statement. She yawned, eyes pulled back into pleasently shaped crescents, whiskers turning downwards as her face stretched and molded.

Trillium turned her blue eyes to the approaching cat. She was a little surprised to see a new member so quickly. She stood up and cocked her ears forward in a greeting manner, "And I, yours. I hope we can hunt well together." She smiled and continued, "From the way Whisperstar was speaking, I'd've thought that I was the only warrior."
(Ugh. Boring post. I apologize.)

[ From '...In pursuit of a mouse...'] A small silver kit leapt through the roaring waterfall and shook herself vigorously, sending a mini-shower of water flying. Ripplekit looked around, spotted Whisperstar and a few other cats, and walked over, gazing at her surroundings as she did so. OoC: Gah, everyone types such long and detailed posts!

" That would be great, " responded Tearstream, quite calmly, though she was a bit apprehensive about such a thing. She'd never hunted with anyone more than herself for company. Trillium seemed nice enoughm, of course, of that there was no doubt. But Tearstream still was quite young, just old enough to scrape her way by with a bit of luck and some unharvested talent. She grinned sheepishly, back arching up just a tad. This display, however subtle, was disrupted as the small, silver kitten burst through the cascading water, and she reacted just quickly enough to dodge a bit of airbourne water that threatened to collide with her nose.

Trillium was of quite another mindset than Tearstream. She was seeking the oporotunity to hunt in a group, as she'd been alone for nearly a year. The turkish van noticed that the other she-cat seemed a bit un-nerved by the idea, and was about to take back the suggestion, but before she could, all three of the adult females were taken aback by the sudden appearence of a kit bursting into the camp.
"Why, I didn't know we had apprentences as well, Whisperstar!"

Whisperstar blinked in amusement at the sudden influx of cats into the MistClan camp, as she nods to the small kit and smiles at Trillium.
"MistClan grows everyday. Ripplekit here has yet to be apprenticed, though. But I assume that the moon would be soon, hmm?"
She chuckled as the small kit shook herself from the water, and purred to herself in the accomplishment of the growth of MistClan. The full moon was approaching, and she wanted to see the progress of the other Clans as well.
"Feel free to make yourselves at home, all of you. Perhaps if we get a few more Warriors by the end of the day, I'll send out a few hunting patrols and night patrols."
She smiled, and looked at the two warriors as well as the kit. She still didn't have a Deputy still, and that fact could hurt MistClan a bit. But she hoped the time would soon come.

Ripplekit grinned sheepishly at the three adult cats. "Ehh.... Whoops, sorry," she mewed, as she watched the droplets of water rain down on them. She looked up at Whisperstar. "So, what exactly is an apprentice?" she asked her. She had heard the word several times when she had been talking to Whisperstar at the boundries, but she hadn't been exactly sure of what it meant. OoC: Don't worry, I do know what an apprentice is, but Ripplekit doesn't. Without her mentioning it, my post would have been like, what? 1 or 2 lines?

"An apprentice, where I come from at least, is what a kit becomes at the age of six moons. They are taken in by a warrior and taught all of the arts of being a fully fledged clan member. I hope the customs are the same here." Trillium replied to the kit's question. "I believe medicine cats can have apprentices also."

Whisperstar hmm'd and nodded at Trilliums response, a but surprised to see the similiarity of the Apprentices, not to mention the actual name was also shared.
"She's right. When a kit becomes apprenticed, a mentor, or a Warrior or Clan Leader, teaches them the art of being a Warrior. Or, if they are into Medicine Cat learning, there are also Medicine Cat apprentices."
She flicked her tail and licked slightly at her wet paw, her raspy tongue drying it. She figured she could be Ripplekits mentor when the time came, or she could find another Warrior like Tearstram or Trillium to do it. She supposed it depended on when the time came.

"It sounds pretty boring to be an apprentice....." Even though Ripplekit knew that it was needed for her to learn & go by the rules of her new Clan life, what would be the point for them to be taught to her while she was bored to death? Bah, she though, I'll probably just have to bear with it. Ripplekit cocked her head at Whisperstar. "When will I become one?" she asked. Ripplekit was already 5 & a half moons, but she had no idea of her age. OoC: It's actually longer than normal!

(Ooc: If you don’t want me here just shoo me out! ) Bic| Silverthroat's head broke the roaring waterfall, as she passed through. She chomped madly on a claw, head held low so she couldn’t see the other cats. When she finally brought it up, a bit of crawdad fell from her mouth before she regained her normal, polite(-ish) state. Silverthroat quickly swallowed the last of her mid-day (or whatever time it just may be) snack that she had abandon her healing duties to get. Silverthroat looked up and down the other cats. "Why, hello! What a great comeback the clan is making!" She said a slight jump in her voice. She walked closer, sat and bowed her head. "Let me introduce myself, I am Silverthroat the medicine cat for the Mistclan." (ooc| Sorry its so long!)

"Greetings! I think Whisperstar told me about you. Your fur is very beautiful. I don't think I've seen a thing quite like it before," Trillium said, surveying Silverthroat's bengal coat.
((I think we should wait for Mandrake to get back. Don't want to get too far ahead. :3))

( I'm back. No need to wait any longer. n.n)
" I think they've got the right idea, though I'm learning a bit myself. " Tearstream added, nodding to the two other cats, looking directly at Ripplekit. She smiled sheepishly, mildly unsure of how to conduct herself around other cats. That could easily be cured, however, as she was definitly bright enough to develop her own particular style and personality pretty rapidly.
She didn't jump when Silverthroat entered the clearing, but her grin wavered a bit and her attention turned from the kit to the medicine cat swiftly. All the cats here were certainly plesent enough.
