It was funny how despite the few days that she had been gone, she had never looked back. That didnt mean she didnt think of them of course. She remembered well her Mother's gentle licks, kind words. She didnt know of her Father, apparently the Two-Legs hadnt approved of him much at all. In fact, it was well known that this all had been quite the unplanned accident. But of course she didnt hold that against them. Life, was life.
Her two brothers and sister she hadnt known well at all either, despite being their denmate. They had seemed content to curl up and accept life as it was. Which it had been fine, when tehy had been raised by their mother and recieved her milk. But as they grew slightly older...
She just coudlnt fathom it. She had asked, and none felt guilty about just being "given" food. Why did she? Apparently that was supposed to be a normal way of life but still... it didnt feel like she had earned the food. And that for some reason botehred the kit. It made her feel like... something was off. And slowly she began to realize this wasnt where she belonged. It wasnt the life she wnated to lead.
So no regrets as the kitten pushed forward into unknown lands, unknown scents. What would lie out there? Answers? She hoped so, she really did. She had been able to catch a mouse here or there, actually eat something for herself that she had earned. But... she did miss being aorund other cats. Were there others out here? She could swear she could smell them...
Her keen nose caught the scent of another mouse. Watching it a moment to get a feel for its movements, she started forward to leap at it when she suddenly stopped in her tracks. er heart leapt upwards a moment as she realized there WERE other cats out here! Maybe... maybe they held the answers she seeked. The mouse had long since scurried away but it didnt matter now to the young kitten. Curious, she started forward...
