Humidity was often favored by Tearstream. It felt like the river had become airborne, if not only a small bit, and ran with her, caressing her fur that rippled like quicksilver over her body as she cantered through it. Scents were easier for her to place, dampened and held down by the water. It felt so much like home. She grinned solemnly, the custom black streams of fur running from her eyes crinkling, slowing to a leisurely walk as she would her way though the foliage, ferns and leaves and bark and the fragile, brittle debris of the trees. She still had much to learn of nature and survival, but she had made it this far, and was proud. The sound of water drew her nearer, hear ears held high to take in the noise. She was loathe to enter, however. She'd heard tales that there were actually small packs of cats in these parts, and one on twelve was a bit too much for her, whether or not she had made it so far of her own. But it was so very tempting. Like music. She exhaled, tasting the Air, mouth held ajar, and when she was satisfied, moved cautiously toward the sound of the cascading waterfall ahead... ( Hope that wasn't too intrusive, and I had the overall setting right. )

Watchful eyes followed the cat over the lush terrain. A long silver cat slipped out of her dip in one of the damp rocks of her territory, and she bounded a few tail lengths to watch the other again.
The intruder seemed to be the water type, which made Whisperstars mind more at ease. Those cats who had the knack to watersport often found themselves drawn to this land- and for good reason. Though DuskClan was situated in the fork of the river, MistClan was the source of that river.
She eventually stpped out into the damp air, her green eyes ever watchful. She flicked her tail high into the air to make herself seen to the other, before she approached them.
"Hail, stranger, to MistClan territory. Is there something I can do for you today?"
((OOC: lol no problem XD))

Tearstream darted back a few steps, taken utterly by surprise. She was observant in general, but she had not noticed Whisperstars entrance, though she would have been quite grateful that she had made herself known before she was seen in fur. Her fur rose a bit, pure reflex, nothing aggressive, and she thought she might, if attacked, be able to make it out. But only desperate acts led to desperate measures. She shook her head, taking a few tentative steps forward, dipping her head in greeting.
" Uh. Hello, " she said slightly brashly, though respectful all the same. She paused, eyeing Whisperstar curiously.
" MistClan territory? Are the rumors true, then? There are clans of cats living in this territory?"

The Leader purred a bit and flicked her ears, watching the antics of the other curiously. She seemed a bit taken aback and scared, like she would be attacked. Usually not the sort of greeting Whisperstar would have liked. She gently sat down on her haunches, her green eyes knowing as she looked at the other
"Please, dont be alarmed. And yes, it is true... there are four Clans residing in this valley now, all under StarClan. What you see before you to the North point is MistClan. If you like water, you'll love it here. It's not the biggest in size, but we make up for it in smarts,"
She smiled, then pointed her tailtip in the other directions.
"To the West is StoneClan. Their individual strength is like their territory- strong and formidable. To the East is TreeClan, whos forte is trees, as they can scale them like you walk over these grasses. And finally, to the South, is DuskClan. Their hearts are as dark as Silverpelt."
She flicked her ears and looked back at the other cat, smiling a bit.
"So that is that. If you are looking for a place to stay, you are free to join anywhere you want. But I warn you about staying outside Clan territory for too long. There are many cats out there who wouldnt think twice about kidnapping another."

Tearstream was reassured. She grinned widely, if a bit self consciously for her earlier behaviors. What she heard was far from the behavior that had been displayed to her as of now. She actually might enjoy staying here at least for a while. The thought raged through her like poison, but it was not a bad feeling. Maybe she would stay...
She paused, glancing cautiously at Whisperstar.
" I've heard of Starclan, and I've learned a bit about them. And would it be you I would ask about passage of entrance into the clan - your clan, that is - or someone else? " She questioned, and grinned more widely and confidently now. She had heard snatches of hierarchy of clans like this from her mother when she was younger, as well as duties and such, but never had they been portrayed as good or anything short of bloodthirsty killers. But so far as she could see, this kindly she cat was far from, and Tearstream was more apt to trust her own judgment than that of the shady parents she barley remembered.
" I'm Tearstream, by the way. " She said, reproachful that she had held off actually introducing herself this long, lowering her head a tad, yellow-grey eyes glistening with excitement and curiosity. What more could be expected? Mature she may have been, but she was barely past kitten hood.

Whisperstar couldn't help but chuckle softly at the others blatant excitement. Of course, the Leader was excited to, for this cat seemed adament about having a place to stay. Sure, she seemed a bit green in the paws and might have to be taught some things, but that could be worked over. Whisperstar would accept her as a Warrior if she decided to stay, but she might have to have a mentor of sorts to teach her the way of the Clan.
"Why yes, you would indeed ask me. I am Whisperstar, the Clan leader of MistClan. And I bid you welcome to our Clan."
Her eyes gazed over the misty territory, and she smiled, her whiskers turning upwards.

" So I've been talking to the leader all along, have I ? " she asked with a grin, slightly embarrassed, but pleased all the same. Hopefully her first impression had gone well, especially because she was speaking to the highest ranking cat, or so she'd guessed. Tearstream watched as her fur caught in the wind, feeling the mild sun warm her fur. She really was beginning to like it here.
" I suppose you must have others to greet as well you're eager to meet. Is there anything more I should know? And, I assume, I am to proceed to the clan?" She inquired, grooming a paw, grey eyes sparkling with delight. The mist made her feel even more at home, as if she were a mouse seeking cover from a hawk. [/size]

Whisperstar smiled again and nodded, her tail flicking
"Indeed you have. We're not as evil as we are made out to be... well, at least not all the time!"
She purred softly and raised her small head to the wind and scented it, the breeze bringing the outside smells to her.
"The MistClan camp is just over a few ridges, and is a bit hidden. Come, let me take you it, and have you meet a few of the other MistClan members. So with that; welcome Tearstream, as a MistClan Warrior."
And with that she bounded northward, toward the MistClan camp and the roaring waterfall in the distance.
((OOC: After your post, you can post at Trilliums post in MistClan camp ^^ Then we'll all be there and its easier x3))

" As I would hope, " Tearstream purred.
With a wide, albeit somewhat subdued grin, she burst into a run, trailing a few feet behind at Whisperstars right flank, dodging stones and bushes and rocks, and enjoying herself on the way.
