Treading lightly along, with the wind blowing through her fur, came Panda, the shy. She sniffed the air intently, searching for a comforting scent, one of cats, and a quick dinner. "There!" thought Panda "I smell cats about!"
Panda was lonely after such a long, yet peaceful and wondrous journey, and really yearned for a friend, something she had only of her mother. She wanted to learn to hunt more efficiently, and to someday have kits, who wouldn't have to leave her and would have a normal life.
Panda headed toward the sound of a majestic waterfall, stopping to look at the golden canopy up above, the mighty, flowing river, and listened to the sounds of the forest around her, yet still keeping a watchful eye out for possible danger and prey.

Lillystar loped around the outskirts of Misrclan's territory, on the lookout for rogues. She was worried about these new rogue clans and was keeping an ever more watchful eye on their borders. Coming around a bend in the river she saw a she-cat staring across at the waterfall.
"Who goes there?" she called out. "This is Mistclan territory!"

Startled, the young she cat looked away from the waterfall and locked eyes with the cat. Her heart leapt with the joy of seeing another cat after so long, and of hearing a clan mentioned. Panda smiled shyly and took in the cat's scent.
"Ummm...Hi!" said Panda nervously after an awkward pause. She wasn't sure whether the cat would attack, so she flexed her claws, ready to spring. "I am Panda, and I am looking for one of the four clans to live in. I heard you mention Mist clan...do you live in Mist clan?" Panda licked her fur nervously waiting for a reply, wondering if she should have ever left her comfy home.

Lillystar softened a little and looked this she-cat over.
"I am Lillystar, leader of Mistclan...are you looking for a home then Panda?" she asked, calmly. She remained standing, flicking her tail in thought.

Panda relaxed as she heard the Mistclan leader calmly speak to her, instead of chase her off her clan's territory. She seemed very nice, so maybe she would consider Panda living with the clan.
"Nice to meet you!" Panda said, thinking how weird the name Lillystar was. Lilly would be better, but maybe all the clan cats had star after there name...Panda sure hoped that she wouldn't have to change her name, assuming she was even allowed to join! "Yes, I have been searching for the four clans my mother told me about, and I'm sure they must be nice if you are a leader!"
Panda couldn't help sucking up just a little to the leader. She really wanted a home, and wanted to make a good impression. Lilystar also looked very fit and lean, so that must mean there was enough food here. Thinking of food, Panda's stomach rumbled, just loud enough for the other cat to hear. Panda blushed (ooc:if that's possible!) and waited for the other cat to speak.

Lillystar was pleased that this cat was trying to flatter her. It was a little pathetic, but sweet coming from a younger cat.
"My clan is my home and I would be more than happy to make you a part of it, as long as you promise to uphold the warrior code and never betray us..." she said with pride and a little conviction. Hearing the cat's stomach rumble, she imagined the choice would not be hard.

Panda smiled and wondered if this was really hapening after so long dreaming of this day. "Thank You! I will follow this warrior code as best as I can," said panda, trying to conceal her excitement. "but what exactly is a warrior?" She had so many questions, which were sure to be answered in time, but almost killed her to hold back. She had no idea what this new life would be like, and her eyes clouded over as she remembered her lost mother. Things will get better she thought, and maybe I will even find some new friends!

Lillystar chuckled at the young she-cat's ignorance.
"A warrior is what all clan cats grow up and train to be, a protector of their clan essentially..." she said. "You hunt with your friends and patrol the borders and make sure that no harm comes to anyone in Mistclan, including you!" She hoped the prospect of fighting didn't deter the young one from joining Mistclan.

Becoming a Warrior seemed a very noble thing to do, although she didn't quite know how to fight, being a very calm and caring cat. She was sure, however, that she would if another's life was at stake.
"I think that would be great!" Panda changed her tone and spoke confidently "I will protect others with my life...when I learn how to fight of course!"
Panda stood up straighter, sensing the conversation was near an end, and she would soon be on her way to her new home. A new home! thought Panda I wonder what it will be like.

Lillystar nodded approvingly and turned towards the waterfall.
"I hope you don't mind getting a little wet...we can try to go around the surge, but you can't avoid the waterfall entirely when moving in or out of camp..." she said over her shoulder, leading the young cat into Mistclan.

Panda was amazed! The clan lived behind a waterfall? How did they get to sleep with the constant noise? Well, she thought, I guess they would get used to it after a while. "I guess I could mind a little water...as long as there's food on the other side!" With medium length fur Panda didn't mind a lot of water, but she was annoyed that she would have to clean it off constantly. But as long as I have friends, that will make up for it!
Panda was so nervous she could hardly keep up with Lilystar, constantly tripping over rocks, thinking of what to say to the cats and how she would ever fit in. Then all her thoughts vanished as she looked up at the gigantic waterfall before her. My mom would never believe this!
