New Friends

Icepaw prodded a pile of moss. It reeked of sick cats but it would have to do. She settled herself on the bedding.

"Ugg... sorry it smells so bad in here. I bet your wondering how we run things around here, well I've only been here 3 moons but tomorrow I know that all of the apprentices are getting to have their first lesson in the way of a warrior or a medicine cat. In the clan we live sleep and eat together. If a battle is fought against an enemy you will protect the clan with your life if necessary. Umm... I don't think I know any more. For my first apprentice lesson I'm going hunting. I can't wait!"

Panda padded into the small den and followed Icepaw to the piles of moss lining the room. She found one next to Icepaw, and prodded it and plopped down sighing. It really smelled, but at least it was warm and comfortable, more so than sleeping outside in the cold of Leaf Fall.

"Good luck in your lesson tomorrow!" I wish I could go...but I'm not trusted yet, and I will get my chance soon... "What will you learn, and what type of things are there to eat here? Sorry for asking so many questions, but I have just one more...Who are the other apprentices?"

Wondering about the ins and outs of clan life, Panda cuddled up in a tight ball and waited for her questions to be answered.

Icepaw listened and happily answered,

"I don't know what I'll learn. But I want to learn everything! The other apprentices are Ripplepaw, Umberpaw, Rustpaw, and me. And we usually eat mice, voles, rabbits, and occasionally fish."

Icepaw stretched across the den,

"After I'm completely trained to become a warrior I'll get my warrior name I'd like that to be called Icestorm, but it's really up to Lilystar in the end."

ringkit slowly entered not wanting to walk the other cats that were alseep.
she saw some moss and pussed it into a place to sleep before she driffed offf to sleep to had one last thought,
what if i'm not wanted here?
