"Ah, this is gonna be FUN!" Contrast's bright, cheery voice sliced through the murky gray afternoon with sickening ease. She was practically dancing, for StarClan's sake. Of course, whoever came would look at her first. She was pretty. She was loud. She was happy. Not just a little: all the time. Her emotions exceeded her.
Her far less noticible brother, on the other hand... Medium padded behind her, looking sideways at Contrast with the sort of expression that usually accompanies raised eyebrows and the word 'okaaaay' said with confusion and/or sarcasm. He was the color of the ground; dusky brown, flecked with darker. His eyes were muddy amber. He was not at all ugly, but he was nothing special to look at. He was Medium. Nothing more, nothing less.

Lillystar walked along her Clan's boundary, renewing the scent markers every 100 yards or so. She was growing bored, seeing nothing of interest, when suddenly her eyes came upon two cats in the distance. The she-cat's voice rang out clear and even through the thick fog her dancing step was noticeable. The tom that walked beside her seemed...less than enthusiastic. She padded up to them and stood in their path.
"What brings you to my boundaries?" she asked, eyeing them carefully.

((We are)) peices of a falling star -- Contrast turned, glad to see a new cat walking towards her. She bounded gleefully forward, stopping directly in front of Lillystar. "Hello!" she meowed brightly. "I'm Contrast! I'd like to join your Clan!"
Her voice was invariably followed by exclamation marks. Why was her voice always so exclaimitory? Medium rolled his eyes, but it was mostly a good-natured sort of expression, though there was exasperation there, too. Steeping forward, he said, "And I'm Medium, and we'd both like to join MistClan."

Lillystar considered the cats in front of her. They seemed normal enough, but the fact that their names lacked a secondary part probably meant they were rogues. That didn't mean they were "evil" but she wanted to know something about them before allowing them into the camp.
"Are you from rogue meadow...how did you end up here?" she asked calmly.

((We are)) peices of a falling star -- Contrast frowned in confusion. "We walked, of course," she meowed, completely steamrolling over her brother's words.
[/color] "You seem awfully--" He began, but his sister talked right over him, seemingly unaware that she was even doing it. Medium sighed, but he still did not seem particularly down. He was used to this. When Contrast was finished speaking, he began again, speaking rather quickly so his sister could not cut in again. "You seem awfully cautious. Is something wrong? Are loners still allowed to join clans?" He sounded curious. What was going on, hm?

Lillystar was afraid that her question might provoke that sort of reaction.
"Nothing like that...its just our clan is very large and I want to make sure I take in cats that will be loyal members..." she started. "Also I've heard rumors of some rather nasty cats in the rogue territories recently...but I meant you no offense..."

((We are)) peices of a falling star -- "None taken," Medium meowed, dismissing her final words. "I assume by 'nasty cats' you mean BoneClan."
Contrast calmed slightly. Standing still, she tilted her head and blurted -speaking almost before her brother even closed his mouth- "I refuse to have anything to do with that BoneClan, and RisingClan is too active for my tastes."

Lillystar's gaze softened and she looked at the two newcomers with a renewed optimism.
"Well then, I suppose we'll just have to see where you fit in!" she said cheerfully. "How old are you...apprentice age, warrior?"

((We are)) peices of a falling star -- "I'm warrior-aged," Contrast volunteered cheerfully.
Medium didn't even bother replying. His sister answered only for herself -as usual- but it was pretty plain that they were siblings, even though she was prettier and more noticible than he was. Instead, he asked a more meaningful question. "Who are you?"

It was just then that Lillystar realized she hadn't introduced herself yet. Feeling immeasurably silly, she straightened up and spoke.
"Oh I'm sorry, I've forgotten my brain apparently..." she said, chuckling. "I'm Lillystar, leader of Mistclan."

((We are)) peices of a falling star -- Medium bowed his head in respect for her status, and when he looked back up, he had an almost-half-smile on his depressingly ordinary face. "So--"
"Can we join your Clan, Lillystar?" Contrast burst out eagerly, hastily nodding in respect. She once again rolled right over her brother's words.
"Can we have entrance to your Clan." Medium continued in a monotone voice, his amber eyes suddenly flat with exasperation. His voice could not be heard under his sister's.

Lillystar winced, realizing that the poor tom couldn't get a word in over his exuberant sister.
"Yes I suppose so...follow me then," she said, striding to the waterfall-guarded entrance.

((We are)) pieces of a falling star -- Contrast followed, dancing and singing loudly in a suprisingly attractive voice.
Medium also followed, rolling his eyes good-naturedly at his sister's exuberent singing. She was so outgoing and so forward, she would very likely make several friends within the first day in their new Clan. But he smiled all the same; he was not an unhappy cat, despite his invisibility.
