Longtail had just caught a mouse in the fields he was currently passing though. The stringy meat of the small mouse was dreadful but it would have to suffice for now. His long tail flickered at the tip as he licked his lips of the remnants of the mouse off his muzzle. Seeing a tree in the distance, he thought it would be a good place to rest for a bit. At least he didn't scent anything out of the ordinary as he made his way to the base of the tall oak tree. Arching his back in a stretch, he then curled up against the base. Resting his head on his forepaws as he laid down and soon dozed off for a quick cat nap.

Woodpaw kept walking, she had traveled all around the territories but she had yet to find a new home. So she still walk, it was all she seemed to do now.
Woodpaw stopped to see a tabby sleeping. She hadn't seen another cat for sometime now. She had to stop herself from running over and yelling with joy.
She stopped in front of the cat. Woodpaw didn't know if she should wake the cat or not. If she did, she was worried that the cat would skin her alive. Woodpaw's need to talk to someone over came her shyness.
"Excuse me, but do you know where the best hunting is around here?" a pretty sad conversation starter, Woodpaw thought.

His ears twitched when the new cat approached him. Lifting his head up with sleepy eyes half open and giving a yawn. Best hunting? Not particularly but he answered the she-cat anyway. "I'm sorry but all my time spent on this land I never took into accounting of where the best spots are."

Woodpaw blinked at the cat, "sorry if I woke you up," she meowed at the tom.
She twitched her whiskers, "This is rouge meadow right?" she said. Woodpaw was trying to keep the conversation going. "I was thinking of joining a rogue clan but..."
Woodpaw looked off in the distance in thought. It was true she was thinking about joining a rouge clan but Woodpaw would drop her apprentice name if she did that. She wanted to be in true clan.
"By the way my name is Woodpaw," She turned and look back at the cat.

Longtail got to his paws, arching his back up and stretching out his forepaws. "It is rogue meadow." He replied to her question while sitting down on his haunches, facing her, wrapping his long tail around his paws. Actually hearing about a few rogue clans but much rather liked to steer clear from them.
"My name is Longtail and don't expect me to help you find any rogue clans. I prefer to stay away from them." He stated while licking a paw to wash his face with.

Woodpaw looked off in the distance as if viewing something far away. Her head snapped back to Longtail.
"You don't think it might be interesting to join a rouge clan?," meowed Woodpaw in a curious sort of way. "Of course not BoneClan I have only heard horror stories about them."
"But then again," she said thinking out loud more to herself then to Longtail. "I really would miss the true Clan atmosphere, that I came here for."
She thought about how long the journey had taken her to complete and to have that all go to waste.
"I think I might like to join TreeClan," she said with a purr of delight. She twitched her whiskers, embarrassed at the way she was rambling on. "Listen to me, talking like an old elder."
"What about you? You seem like a good warrior that any clan would be proud to have," Woodpaw asked listening closely for Longtail's response.

His whiskers twitched in amusement. "Sounds like you were born to be an elder of a Clan. As for me no Clan has given me an offer to join. Plus I like the freedom fo being a rogue."

"The freedom of being a rogue..." She said slowly as if the concept was new to her. She thought for a few moments.
"I think if I was to just live on my own, I'd give myself a warrior name," She said with a sigh.
She had become a very experienced cat since she left her home. She learned great hunting techniques, Woodpaw definitely could defend herself.
"I would want to be called..." She was thinking of a good name. "Woodclaw or Woodpelt, I don't know which one I would pick." Woodpaw twitched her tail.

A small young she-cat padded up shyly to the two talking cats. This cat was white with black paws, tail and black up side down cresent moon on her forehead and beautiful pale blue eyes. She was very shy but sweet, kind and giving once you met her. But just because she is kind and sweet dosen't make her soft, if you dare taunt her or attack her in battle she'll rip your fur off and claw your eyes out. This cat had no family, no love, no friends, no clan. This wonderful cat's name you ask? Her name is Moonshine. Moonshine reached the two unfimailiar cats and flattened her ears. "Hi." she muttered timidly. |

"Woodclaw..." She said in thought. "Do you really think can I appoint it to myself, would StarClan accept that?" she asked herself.
Woodpaw merely sat there and blinked a couple of times, the last thing she wanted to do was upset the warrior ancestors.
She saw the other cat approaching from the corner of her
eye. "Hello," said Woodpaw delightfully. Suddenly she had an idea.
"This is what I will do, I'm going to give myself the warrior name and can you two bare witness?" Woodpaw was pleased with her plan. She was a rouge she didn't have to follow the warrior code suddenly she knew what Longtail meant by freedom.
"StarClan I know I have no authoutiy to appoint myself a warrior’s name but I have gone though many trails and proved my worth so this day I shall be named Woodclaw.
The newly name Woodclaw turned to the new cat. "Thankyou for that, so what's your name anyway?"

"Of course I'll bear witness as I'm sure StarClan would appreciate it more than appointing a warrior name by yourself." Longtail then turned his attention to the younger cat after Woodclaw changed her name. "Hello. You are?"

"My name is Woodclaw," she meowed. "I thank you for listing why I changed my name." She gave a polite bow of her head in greeting.
Woodclaw ear's picked up. She was listening to see if another cat was approaching but there was none. Woodclaw wasn't trusting this place more and more. She was starting to wish that she was back in a clan.

"Well Woodclaw, what clan do you belong to?" she asked. Moonshine got very curious, she had never belonged to a clan. Well, she did, but was traded off to some rouges, so she grew up as a rouge.

Longtail looked between the two, tail tip flickering a bit. Unsure what to say between them. So the tom stayed quiet and waited for Woodclaw to answer Moonshine's question. Starting to wonder why she was without a clan when she obviously craved for clan life.
(Sorry I got confused with what had happened but now I got unconfused to post finally.)

Woodclaw looked over to Moonshine. "I'm not part of a clan," said Woodclaw simply. She looked up trying to think of a reason she had not joined one yet.
"I just arrived at this land and I haven’t really decided what I want to do just yet," Woodclaw tipped her head a little while talking. "I guess I'm taking a little time off." She gave a purr of laughter at her statement.
