Featherstar stood and padded up to replace Amberstar and to give her Clan's good news. StoneClan has good news. Blindsong, one of our queens, recently gave birth to two healthy kits, Honorkit and Valorkit, and is suckling Veil, a young kit whose mother was dead on our boundaries where I found him. The StoneClan leader's face fell at the thought of the lifeless she-cat with the kit at her side that she'd seen not to long ago. Also, we've accepted a new cat into our ranks. We welcome Poisonivy as a new warrior of StoneClan. Featherstar then paused, for two reasons. One, she was through with her news. Two, and probably the more important reason, she had just remembered that Poisonivy was Sabrestar's sister and the two didn't seem to have a good relationship from the way the new warrior acted when the DuskClan leader was spoken of. This could turn out to be interesting. Featherstar thought grimly. OOC: Well Sabre, I've left it wide open for your promised drama! Have fun!

On, with your petty news. There is no need to flaunt strength; for we are the epitome of power in all this land.
Sabrestar tilted her head to one side, Featherstar's starts words entering one ear, then out the other. But then, then, she heard it: Poisonivy. The assassin, she bristled and her eyes immediately raked the crowd; some cats flinched under her piercing gaze, so hungry was her glare, so terrifying and horrible. Her lips parted but nothing came out; her ears folded flat and her tail curled above her spine. Her eyes, they glistened threatening menace, and in her mind, a turmoil of bloodlust was beginning to brew. The clouds spread and smeared like butter across the sky, and the night almost seemed to darken as newfound despair thickened the atmosphere. The moon shifted and was dappled with shadows. The wind whistled, and, even if no one had noticed the uncanny likeliness between Sabrestar and Poisonivy, the feline crouched beneath the rock and pressing against it, her thin body heaving and her emerald eyes wide, it was obvious that something, something was wrong. A sense of foreboding. A sense of horror. A sense of death. "Poisonivy, you say?" Her voice was soft, thoughtful, but contained. There was something within those words that made everyone's fur prickle with unease. "You surprise me, Featherstar, that you would allow a murderer into your ranks."
What's in between Heaven and Hell? Inside, she was panicking, she was breaking down, and her muzzle whipped to where her sister was standing. Fear. She knew the full extent of pain that was delivered from those claws; for she has felt them herself. On the brink of death, she was so afraid. Poisonivy, her jaw dropped open and her tongue nervously swiped across her lips, once, twice. Her tail curled tight around her backlegs and she crouched deeper into the shadows, hoping to Starclan that her smooth black coat was melted into the darkness beneath the highrock the leaders stood upon. She wanted to be swallowed into oblivion; she wanted to dissapear. Please... Please. And then, she heard her leader speak. Her heart was thumping so fast she was sure it was going to - "Poisonivy."Explode. This time, the pretty little feline did let out a soft hiss of distress, and her emerald gaze searched the crowd of cats for any glance of sympathy, any source of warmth or comfort. Put me to sleep evil angel. But then she heard it: She heard it. Murderer. Her mouth stretched into a muted scream and Poisonivy, she darted out of her spot drenched in black, her shining coat glistening, and her forest green eyes wide. And, for the first time in thirteen moons, their eyes met; cold silver and blue with frightened, desperate, and angry emerald. Kin and Kin. "I - ""She killed her own blood, she is a liar and a traitor. I did not think even Stoneclan would accept such tainted blood into their home.""Sabrestar,"Poisonivy whispered, she breathed, her throat tightening and her eyes narrowing. "She lies - ""Who are you to believe? A lowly newcomer who hardly knows anything of the life of clans, or a Clan leader, who has rebuilt her clan from utter destruction? See her fear. See the misery in her eyes; she knows, she has been caught. How long have you been running from the truth Poisonivy? You cannot hide from me, sister."Poisonvy's eyes widened even more, if possible, and she felt a thousand gazes sink into her flesh and tear everything inside her into a thousand shattered pieces. "That is not true!"She cried, her eyes shining defiance and anguish. "It was a mistake - ""See! She admits it! Murderer."ooc| We need something exciting to spice things up a bit. So, here we go, establishing Clan enemies. xD IKNOW. This sounds a lot like the Lion King. e.e But.. yeah deal. D:

Oh, well imagine: as I'm pacing the pews in a church corridor, and I can't help but to hear, no I can't help but to hear an exchanging of words: "What a beautiful wedding, what a beautiful wedding!" says the bride's maid to a waiter. "Yes, but what a shame, what a shame, the poor groom's bride is a..."
Poisonivy. Such a pretty name, yet what a shame it was marked upon a cat so feeble, so weak as her. Hawkclaw's glowing amber orbs were fixed on her, his ears twitching as Sabrestar explained their relationship - but he'd already guessed, no two cats could look so similar. Identical apart from their eyes. He was confused - he wondered what Sabrestar meant by she killed her own blood.
Confusion. This gathering was turning out to be quite an interesting one.
Hawkclaw perked back up, turning his piercing gaze onto his leader once more. His muscles flexed underneath his shining handsome pelt, and he let out a strong, confident voice.
"Sabrestar, explain what you mean. How did she kill her own blood? How did she lie?"
A question on everyones mind, that Hawkclaw voiced out loud. He wanted to know what the hell this was all about - and he wanted to know why a cat who had supposedly murdered had turned into such a weak, pathetic little creature. His eyes turned to Poisonivy once more, filled with... what? Confusion, definately. Was there sympathy? Or simply a burning desire to know, to understand this strange female.

Smokepaw had remained sitting silently next to his mentor, Hawkclaw. But he could not contain it now. PoisonIvy..... Smokepaw flattened his ears to his head, murder? How could that be? His leader's sister looked nothing like a cold-blooded killer, the exact opposite, he could tell by the way she spoken to the kit, moments before. Yes, Madame, do tell us! He was unable to hide the inquisitive sound in his voice. He could tell this was what Sabrestar wanted. She wanted to start something. To pit all of the cats againts PoisonIvy....to hate her as much as she did.
Brindlepaw sat, mouth agape, how had she not noticed Sabrestar's twin when she was in their midst? In her own Clan! The apprentice had grown an admiration to the ruthless DuskClan leader and the idea of her sister being in her own Clan was, she expected, supposed to be exciting. But she wasn't excited. She felt pity for the one called PoisonIvy. Sabrestar was full of hate and knew how to use it, and here, she was using it for all of the Clan cats to hear. Brindlepaw's eyes filled with a pain for PoisonIvy, the same pain that filled the ebonite she-cat's voice. She closed her eyes and winced as she heard her friend's voice ring out in question. He, coupled with Hawkclaaw's question, was going to incline Sabrestar to continue with a story. Definately not an enjoyable story, that was for sure.

***The lean golden tom hadn't sat by his companions for long, when Amberstar began the meeting. Stopping whatever chatter that was going to begin, Sunpelt watched his young leader, only narrowing his eyes at the mention of Giddykit. Before Giddykit left the clan, Sunpelt was trying hard to be his friend, and help him learn the warrior code, but the kit was stubborn, and ran away before any sort of friendship could sprout. Now, Sunpelt was a little unsure if Giddykit's dispersal was worth mentioning, since he hadn't stayed long enough to begin to settle to clan life. Still, he was only a warrior, so whatever he thought would attain to much.
Amberstar was finished now, allowing Featherstar to yowl the news of Stoneclan. At the mention of Blindsong's successful kitting, the golden tom beamed. Pleasure written on every hair on his pelt... that was... until Sabrestar blamed Poisonivy, a new Stoneclan warrior, of murder. The tom narrowed his eyes, flicking from identical she-cat to the other. The truth behind these accusations could very well be difficult to find, but Sunpelt, being one of the many Clan cats who didn't like Sabrestar one bit, couldn't believe that she was telling the truth... at least, not the whole truth. Golden eyes watched Sabrestar closely, but when it was clear she was sure she had the upper paw, he turned and observed her sister amongst the throng of cats. Contempt flared from some cats in the lower ranked she-cat's direction, but only pity bled from Sunpelt, who wanted to comfort her, but loyalty to his clan prevented him from freely showing whose side he chose, and thus, remained rooted on the spot.

Lillystar was throuughly confused about the goings-on at this Gathering and she couldn't believe that any cat was being accused of murder! She wanted to voice her clan's news and simply go home, but she was worried about what might happen if she tried to change the subject.
Shadowstreak felt the apprehension in her leader and her feelings reflected Lillystar's. She kept her body tight, ready to spring into action if need be, keeping a close eye on Icepaw and the other young cats.
Dragonpelt watched the leaders closely, wondering just what was going on. He hoped this could be resolved...things were getting too tense for his liking. He kept his shoulder firmly pressed against his mate, wanting to protect her at all costs if trouble arose.

"Since the last time I checked, Hawkclaw, I am your leader, not the other way around."
Her startling bright silver-sapphire gaze was so sharp, it could drill a hole through steel. Her toes at the edge of the rock, her heinous four-inch claws unsheathing and scraping against the cold stone, it was all she could do from not directly jumping onto Poisonivy herself and ripping her throat to shreds, the little traitor, that weakling.
"If it werent for your fear and weakness, our family would be alive today,"
Sabrestar hissed, her lips twisting into a malevolent snarl that screamed mockery and disgust. Her tail curled over her slender back and white fangs glistened like white ice in the full moon's light. Of course, the heartless feline could care less for her mother; it was just the disgust, the fact that Poisonivy was the 'runt' of the litter - the fact that she was the only kin borne of the same blood that pumped through Sabrestar's veins. The fact that Poisonivy was a disgrace, that she fled and warn the forest about Sabrestar's treachery before the conniving female had a chance to do anything. Poisonivy, she ruined it all.
"Humans, they took over our own forest, where as kits we grew into apprentices. They caught our parents, the fumbling felines called as our pathetic sire and dame. Poisonivy, you see, she was the cause of their capture and death. She is foolish, she was wandering broad daylight on the roads of concrete and ice that the humans created. The humans followed her back to our den, and they tried to destroy us. Poisonivy, you see, was well hidden, but she watched as her parents were thrashed and mangled by Man."
"But what were you doing, sister?"
Poison cried, her eyes shining with tears.
"I was saving Stiletto from the wrath of the metal fangs that had sunken into his foot, Man's damned traps, and Twistedrose was trying to find a way out of the fire. What were you doing? You were too scared to do anything, pathetic weakling. You do not deserve to share a part to my name."
Sabrestar's hackles rose, and from where she stood, she leapt - landing directly in front of Poisonivy, her shadow casting long sillhouettes of dancing phantoms along the ground.
The clouds were stirring above.
Starclan was getting angry.
Poisonicy, she let out a stifled sob as tears slid down her cheeks.
"It was not my fault, Sabre, it wa-"
"Then who's fault was it, Ivy? And after this, you betray Rose and I - "
"Because bloodthirsty assassins such as you and her do not deserve to live!"
Ivy shouted, tears shining like crystals in her emerald eyes.
The two stared at each other, like ones reflection in a mirror - but with two personalities, so different, right now, it was almost unbelievable that they were of the same kin.
"Perhaps it is malingerers such as yourself who do not deserve a place in this world. You waste your beauty and power, Ivy. Perhaps it is tainted blood such as you who should die."

Onyx remained still as stone, watching the two sisters face off. Not even the tip of her tail twitched, not even slightly. When she got this still, it was either because she was paying a lot of attention to something or because she was being quietly angry. Probably a mix of the two this time. Because, for whatever reason, she didn't much like Sabrestar, though she'd respect her just as much as any of the other leaders.
For just a moment, Onyx glanced around- first up, at Starclan, then to the rock, where Amberstar was, and then around at her clan-mates. What did all of them think of this, she wondered.

"Since the last time I checked, Hawkclaw, I am your leader, not the other way around."
Well, you're not acting very leader-like right now, are you, my dear?
The pair of them, both obsidian cats with their identical features, beautiful carved faces and shining orbs, they were like kittens again. As Sabrestar recalled the night that obviously had caused tragedy within the family, Hawkclaw wondered - did Sabrestar even care that her parents had been mauled by the twoleggeds? The tortoiseshell tom had never seen his parents, he'd been brought up in a lie. The one he had called mother as a kit was in fact a nobody. He didn't understand the powerful bond some parents had with their children, but he couldn't imagine that Sabrestar was the kind to be particularly close to hers. He could be wrong though. Looks can be decieving.
Hawkclaw merely observed as Sabrestar leaped, landing infront of her sister. The tension between them was electric.
The clouds above began to cover the moon. StarClan wasn't happy. Hawkclaw was unsure - part of him was angry at Sabrestar for disrupting the peaceful meeting. Part of him felt sorry for the weak, pathetic sister who quivered beside him. But the other side wanted to follow Sabrestar no matter what. For the most part, he was angry. Angry that Sabrestar didn't seem to care that StarClan were beginning to cover up the moon, didn't seem to respect the old rules that say that the gathering should be carried in peace. He let a low growl emit from his throat, not caring whether Sabrestar was his leader or not. He was inclined to step between the two sisters, but he knew atleast that'd get him badly torn.
"StarClan is getting angry - let the gathering carry on in peace. Sabrestar, I did not think you were the kind to hold grudges? What happened happened, nothing can turn back time - not even childish feuding."
He said the last two words with particular scorn, not caring about leadership at that point in time, merely wanting to make it clear to DuskClan's respectable leader that at the moment she was acting pathetic in Hawkclaw's eyes. He would follow his dearest to the end of the world and further, but only if she stopped this whole fiasco. [/blockquote]

[ if i should die within this hour ]
Little spats between others were not things that Double tended to get himself into, but as the peaceful Mist Clan warrior watched, his eyes grew wider and his gaze flicked between the two who spoke - the accused, and the accusor. The tom was not in the place to make a judgement, but as the argument unfolded and the skies began to rumble, he could see that it must be stopped. He knew, though, that true to Mist Clan nature, none of his calnmates were likely to say a single word against the two (why, Mist Clan cats must think first, act later), nor would they try to interfere with the buisnesses of another Clan. Double shot a glance at Lillystar, sensing her worry, and the Warrior tensed.
"StarClan is getting angry - let the gathering carry on in peace. Sabrestar, I did not think you were the kind to hold grudges? What happened happened, nothing can turn back time - not even childish feuding." The words came from the jaws of what appeared to be a ranked member of the same Clan, the one led by the accusor, Sabrestar. Double nodded approvingly, muttering a small "Hear hear," that he doubted would be heard by any but those close to his position. The speaker was completely right, of course - the past must be put where it belongs, and the future looked to.

Trillium, still sitting next to Double, watched the dispute with mild irritation. She, herself, hadn't known the art of sibling rivalry, being a single kit. But it was still nerve-wracking to listen to. When Double muttered his "Hear"s, she nodded slowly and surely, backing his ideas.

Icepaw sat listening to the dispute. Why does there have to be a problem at every gathering? She asked herself.
"Will they brake the truce?" Icepaw questioned her mentor "When can we go home?"
Icepaw laid down trying to keep the chilled wind out of her fur.

Lillystar began to wonder if she would ever get the chance to speak. She didn't dare come between these hostile cats just yet.
Shadowstreak wished she had comforting words for her apprentice, but she simply didn't. The feud going on at this Gathering was eerily similar to the others she'd attended. "Oh how nice it would be to come to one peaceful Gathering...I don't have the slightest clue how this will end Icepaw..." she said, worry creasing her forehead.

ENOUGH!! Shouted Amberstar, nails clawing swiftly into the stone and it gave an earsplitting squeal. Like nails on a chalkboard... Sabrestar, Featherstar, if you would please. She said coldly, eyeing them both. The gathering is for a time of peace between the clans. Under no circumstance will you be fighting, lest Starclan become angry with us.. More so than they probably are anyways.. She stated softly to herself. If it is so much of a problem, leaders, I would prefer that we took it outside the Gathering, where the laws do not bind us. Two of us have not already spoken, and we wish to get back to our clans before Sunrise. Please.. She swatted the stone with her tail in aggrivation. It was obvious, especially to those on her clan, that something was on her mind...
Wow.. said the ashen she-cat, staring at the leaders in wonder. Murderer? Of course not. Although Sabrestar would never accuse without reason to believe, she had to be exxagerating... Of course.. She shuffled uncomfortably, lowering to the ground in defense and brushing closely against her mate.
Stop it.. Stop it.. The young black and rust kit said nothing, but kept his eyes fixed on the leaders. He hated fighting (unless he of course was involved, in this case of which he wasn't) and he wished with all his innocent heart they could stop. He shuffled towards the back of the sea of cats, but decided otherwise and meekly padded to converse with a fellow apprentice. Ripplepaw, why do you think they're so mad? It's not like anything really bad happened.. He said. Perhaps in the big scheme of things it was, but he, being a kit, was too young to understand this.

Onyxpelt crouched as the squeal of nails on rock bounced around the clearing. She hated that noise.
On the other hand, it did tend to catch one's attention very well. When the sound had gone, Onyx straightened back up and flipped her ears forward at her leader, glancing also at Sabrestar, Twistedrose, and Featherstar. Were they all going to listen? Nervousness was betrayed only by the quick tap of her tail. Onyx's gold eyes came to rest on her leader again, and she shifted her forepaws quietly before her toes could fall asleep. That would be terribly inconvenient.

During the fight between the sisters, Featherstar had remained silent, listening. she didn't really trust Sabrestar but she didn't know Poisionivy that well either. Only after Amberstar's yowl to call the Gathering back to peaceful order did she let her voice be heard, and only to the leaders on the hill. Amberstar is right, we need to get back to the Gathering. Sabrestar, if you wish to talk, peacefully with myself or Poisonivy, you may speak with me after the Gathering has been dismissed. Then she stepped back, leaving room for either Lilystar or Amberstar to spep forward and speak, Let us continue.

Trillium had hesitated in replying to Double when the drama unfolded before them. Flicking her ears nervously, she nodded slight aproval at the Treeclan leader. She seemed a young albeit smart leader, and what she'd said struck a chord within Trillium. The past few gatherings had been chock-full of tension. Treeclan could not be happy.
