The title of the thread is the question! Share how YOU first came across the books!
I can proudly say...
I DON'T REMEMBER! ;D
Yes, I know I fail. I think I'll have to re-read the first set of books this summer. I only own 'Into the Wild'. :3

Saw the paperback for sale at B&N and I thought the series about wild cats was thoroughly interesting. :3 I spent months afterwards waiting for the other five paperback versions to come out.

A friend of mine was reading it. I don't know how she did, but when I asked to borrow it, she simply got me my own because a lot of my other friends had wanted to borrow it from her. XD I've only read the first, but I plan to read all the rest.

I actually found out about it online. Everyone was talking about it, and Vekke did some lovely fanart. I finally had to figure out what it was all about, and bought the first one. Eventually my mom got me the rest for Christmas ;D

I think I found my first copy in the library or something. I don't really recall, all that well. But I obsessed with it for a bit. Then I moved on to my new, and longest lasting obsession in years. Which has lasted more than a year. But yeah, Warriors is lotsa fun. x3

Britt, some of ya will regognize the names Dragonstar or Faithstar, well, me an' her, back four years ago, were bummin' around the net at reccess. We stumbled across something about cats, and me and her and Alex and Patsy got really excited about these books that would be comming out in about a year. Well. I forgot, 'cause my memory stinks, and Britt changed her dead dawntwilight AG site into Warriors. She asked me to join, and I remembered those books. So. I went to the book store and bought the first one. It wasn't as good as anything Hickman/Weis could write, but it was still pretty damned good. So, after waiting on the totally unreliable Chapters-given release dates, by about two years later I finally had the series read. Then the New Proph came out. Chapters FINALLY released it two weeks ago. And. They only had one copy at the one I shop at D: And with all this the-end-of-the-semester-is-comming-ness I haven't had time to finish it, but I'm gettin' there.

I have the whole collection. We were going to get Into the Wild for my other cat loving friend for her birthday, and my mom asked me If I wanted to get one too, and so I did, and have been hooked ever since. [/color]

My pal, (Blood might know her, highly doubt it), who was on Dawn&Twilight, a warriors rp, as Smokeypaw/Smokeynights, was all: PFFT, YOU READ THIS NOW. So I bought them, read them, and loved them. :3

I was walking by a boy's desk in the classroom in the winter and saw "A Dangerous Path" on the corner. I was all, OMG!!!!! GIMME! And then my friend Michelle told me she had the first book, so I snatched it out of her hands and read it before school was out. They changed my life--there's not one book I don't like of the Warriors' series, and I don't care if something happens in the books I don't like, that won't change my fandom.

*laughs* I probably have the lamest one. I was browsing at, of all places, WALMART! I saw that they had the complete series, and was like 'Hm...six books about wild cats or The Da Vinci Code which I need for an assignment for a college class...'
I'm willing to bet you all can guess which won, hm? ^^

Well I suppose I'll continue the conversation...Several weeks later. *thud*
It was an interesting story. Lengthy, as well. I like WORDS. XD
I was at a small bookstore that usually doesn't carry many good books--or many books at all--when Fire and Ice (I believe that's book num. two's title? Gah? Have I forgotten?? *thud again*) caught my eye. I saw that it was a book about cats. I love cats. I saw that is was the second of a series...Couldn't find the first one. So I had to read number two first, instead of being a good girl and reading number one. ._.
We had a sort of supper in the Fellowship Hall of our church that night, but I was so intrigued by the book that after I ate I actually brought it in and read it as everyone was having conversations, etc. I was still interested, and by the time I went back to the library, I was pretty much hooked.
Unfortunately, that library doesn't like me, and didn't want to lend me The Darkest Hour. (By this time I think I'd read the first book and the others.) And the big library didn't have those books at all. *hmph!*
So I've begun to collect them: I bought The Darkest Hour, and Midnight of the new series. Of course after I found this site a few days ago, I remembered that I haven't read the other ones that were out (I have A LOT of fandoms...VERY hard to keep up with them all) and went to Barnes and Noble's just yesterday.
Naturally, I spent $50 on the latest three hardback New Prophecy books because I can't wait until the 25th to get Moonlight in paperback. (I now owe my mum $4 *thud*)
I haven't read them all yet, not even #2 DX But I'm getting there. ^_^ Yay me!
But.... That's my story. Lengthy, isn't it? Did I tell you I like WORDS? :D

Your story definitely beats mine by number of WORDS. XD
