Do you have the link to the avatar you want to use? All you have to do is post the link to the image in the 'Avatar URL' section. Just the link. A 100 by 100 pixel image is best.
For a signature, all you do is type into your signature box. To get a picture there, use a code like this:
[img]LINK HERE[/img]
