Well, I've seen a bit of stuff that annoys me when it's in-character, and I believe it annoys others too. So...newcomers to roleplaying, if you like, read this! >.<
1. Grammar, Punctuation, Capitalization, Smilies
When posting, it's really better if you could turn this...
bristlepaw wawkedin to mistcla ns camp.she grouledd at evry cat she sees why is she so msean. nobody nos.
...Into this...
Bristlepaw walked into MistClan's camp. She growled at every cat she saw. Why is she so mean? Nobody knows.
It's also a buttload nicer if you don't have smilies in your in-character posts. This...
Bristlepaw leaped into battle, her fur bristling with rage.
...Looks better than this...

You're no good at spelling? Press the Spell Check button! It's beside the Preview button, which is next to the Post Message button. I do it a lot, even though I have confidence in my spelling and grammar. It's just better when people can read your posts.
2. Posting, Post Length, Reading Posts
I see this sometimes, and it just bugs me. I don't know about others, but it bugs me. People often do this:
Bristlepaw looked at Nyria and Amara. She asked them, "When would you like to go hunting?" "I don't know, soon." "Me too."
I really looks nicer if it's more like this:
Bristlepaw looked at Nyria and Amara. She asked them, "When would you like to go hunting?" She sat and groomed her paw while waiting for an answer.
Nyria glanced at her sister, gray eyes shining. "I don't know, soon," she meowed. Her belly rumbled with hunger, but she knew she couldn't eat without having fed the Clan first.
Amara glanced at Nyria, also. Her tail flicked with hunger. "Me too," she replied, her gray eyes dull with being so bored.
It gives more life to your posts!
When you're starting a thread, you should describe the scenery, or else no one will know what the heck you're doing. Instead of saying:
Bristlepaw walked around, her tail waving with laziness. She flopped down on a rock.
You could say:
Bristlepaw walked around the luscious field, her tail waving with laziness. The sun shone brilliantly. A soft, cool breeze ruffled her fur slightly, and she flopped down on a rock.
Posts should, obviously, be much, much longer than that. You need to add detail to them! You could make the above into this:
A giant tabby and white apprentice called Bristlepaw walked around the luscious, green field. Her feathered tabby tail waved with a laziness that you could only feel on a greenleaf day like this. The sun shone brilliantly, a marvelous sight to behold. A soft, cool breeze ruffled her long fur slightly, and she flopped down on a wide, flat rock warmed by the sun.
You really, really, really, really need to read the posts above yours that other people made to survive the life of roleplaying. You need to. There are no exceptions, except if you are starting a thread. It is essential that you read them through carefully. Don't have time? Don't reply that very second. You really want to reply that very second? Make time to read the posts. It's simple, and if violated, people will be angry, because they could all be attacking you, and your cat just sits there as if they're talking calmly, not having any idea that they're under friggin attack. READ THE POSTS OR I WILL SEND BRISTLEPAW AFTER YOU. Got it?

And as a little add on, a lack of good roleplaying WILL result in a VERY pissed off RIPPLEPAW coming after you to HOOK your BRAINS out of your EAR, and also a VERY pissed off SPARROWPAW who will silently MIAOW AND HISS AT YOU in RAGE. >:U
