Well, I've recently - er, not exactly 'recently', but the obsession's been growing - become obsessed with those cute little fuzzies. -points to the title- FOXES. And I want to make a roleplay about them, I've got everything planned out, except how to divide territories.
Now, foxes aren't exactly the type who'd live in a 'Clan'...they're pretty much solitary except in mating, and birthing seasons, and when the kits are still wiff deir mommy. But one fox has a huge territory, and if I have a fox roleplay, if it becomes popular there will be lots of different foxes. That would mean lots of different territories? I wouldn't have time to make that many boards.
So does anyone have any suggestions on how to divide territories? Maybe a few different families could share a territory?

I agree with the family's share territory, but that could make a lot of fighting to make role playing more interesting.

Ok, random Kest story time: When I was little, my cousins and I used to pretend to be foxes. ELEMENTAL FOXES. We were very imaginative; so we played all these games where we were little magical foxes with elemental powers. xD I was always thunder fox...I could control electricity. xD Good times. Goooood times.
-brick'd- Anyway, perhaps you could have boards that were claimable, and foxes fight each other to claim boards, a.k.a. 'territories.'
