Catnipwhisker is curious, but not neccessarily intelligent. He's a quick learner, but he easily forgets things - tell him to stalk something, and he'll forget and think you told him to sit on something. Taffy often acts as his little reminder device. He can have a firey temper, like his mother, Wardreamshadow, but that temper is only tempted if Taffy is threatened or indeed hurt. Taffy is like his first love; but he knows she's a squirrel.
Taffy, however, is less curious; she knows lots about the world around her. She learns quickly, too, but her memory is like an elephant's - it's been said that she never forgets things. She is calm, collected, and is like Catnipwhisker's secretary. Unknown to Catnipwhisker, the little squirrel often meets with a secret male squirrel - she knows if she told her feline companion, he'd be hurt.

Catnipwhisker's mother was a certain torbie queen called Wardreamshadow. He has a sister, called Silverglass, but he doesn't really communicate with her anymore unless the Familiar Alliance travels near her. He met Taffy when he was a moon old; Sage's fox friend was about to kill her for lunch but he stopped her - he could...understand the little squirrel. It was like she spoke cat, or he spoke squirrel. The two travel alongside the Alliance now, having a blast being the youngest there - at least, Catnipwhisker is the youngest.
Not much is known about Taffy, but she was almost killed at thirteen moons when Afia - Broke's fennec fox familiar - almost killed her and ate her for lunch. Catnipwhisker stopped the fox, and she's travelled with him ever since.
