[I'm a terrible Admin. ilu. I've just been... Unmotivated, busy, the sorts. I'm back, for a long while, I swear. ^^ But I needed to throw in my part to this war too. ]
There was a frozen pause in the battle, as if time had stopped. The Amber she had leaned heavily on her wounded shoulder, and almost doubled over and fell. Her head swirled with a mixture of colors, voices, noises, sounds, and just then she wanted death to come greet her, to bring her unquestioned into it's warm grasp. However, Colt flew by, chasing after Talonscar with a mighty hiss. Another and another Treeclan cat darted by, and so many of her allies fought in the fray all around her. It was like she watched it from a distance, from a memory. It seemed like in slow motion that she turned her head, and not two feet in front of her, was her daughter. She hardly reached her shoulder, she was small and delicate, and absolutely covered in blood. If not for that shine of amber in her coat on her chest and that same blaze in her gold eyes, Amber wouldn't have known. Their eyes met, and they both froze...
And it was then that she fell. Sharpfang let out a large snarl and tackled the young kit with a mighty roar, bringing her to her stomach, before throwing her sideways, skidding. Amberstar let out a massive hiss, one only a mother could ever seem to summon, and yanked his matted tail. He whirled, slashing her across her eye, and sent her tailspinning with a crash into another cat. She landed heavily on her side, facing her fallen daughter. Their eyes met one last time, both shocked, almost scared, and Coppersong looked up. It was the last thing she saw, the final blow as Sharpfang dove into her neck, instantly covering it with more blood, her blood...
Amberstar couldn't even muster the voice to yell, to call out to her daughter, only look on with horrified shudders. What a way to meet... She looked up, similarly, like her daughter did, and looked straight into the brilliant gold eyes, so familiar. He gave a crooked smile. "Well well, Amberstar, we meet again, as planned," Said the gold tom drolly. He shoved into her, pinning her heavily into the bloodstained earth. Amberstar said nothing, just watched Goldenblaze coldly. She was too tired, too.. Dying, to fight back his mocking words. He was instantaneously double teamed by the Rustshade and Chainrust duo, however, with a startled yowl. He spun around to knock Chainrust to his side, and slashed Rustshade across the face, who stumbled back as the blood fell. He pounced at Amberstar as she rose, but she was not entirely on her feet, as his jaws engulfed her shaggy neck, and he seized.. And bit. He looked up angrily as Chainrust pounced back upon him, and he seized the tawny abysinnian and threw him over his shoulder to land on the still leader, and escaped back into the fray as the bloodied Rustshade darted after him. The 3 cats lay dead together; 3 seperate clans, 3 seperate lives clashing in such a way, and only one cat stirred, her first life finally taken.

Onyx had so far seemed to avoid the worst of things. She'd stayed with Sunpelt for awhile, because he was older and wiser. Then she'd gotten separated, and she slunk around, getting in a few tussels here and there. Blood matted some of her fur, but it wasn't /all/ her's. She was a decent enough fighter to mostly hold her own, when severely threatened. Death was a mighty big motivator for learning quickly how to fight.
Rustshade tore by after Goldenblaze, a tom Onyx just barely recognized, and she looked the direction the two had come. Like a black streak, she bounded across the ground to the three fallen warriors, two of her clanmates and one she didn't know.
"Amberstar? Chainrust?" she said, standing there for a moment. She flicked a quick glance around and then reached down to nose both cats. Amberstar was stirring, although Onyx wasn't sure that should be strictly possible just now. Chainrust was still, as was the other cat. She nosed her mentor again, gently, before looking around on the off chance anyone thought to bother her now. Her hackles were up, her tail slightly bottlebrushed. It wouldn't go far towards scaring a really motivated cat from coming for her, but maybe it'd scare some of those as inexperienced as herself.
She was, apparently, going to stubbornly stand guard over these three until she could be absolutely certain none were getting up. She darted another glance from Amberstar to the battle, trying to keep an eye on everything at once. Just as she had slunk from her body, her 9th life rising from her body like a ghost, unseen by anybody but herself. Her chest hardly moved, and her eyes were wide and unstaring. "Now is not your time," Spoke a voice, and she shook her head. "I want.. I want it now, I want it to come to me!" She wailed into the misty darkness, the other cats still alive shimmering like fog in the sustained silence. "Amberstar!" Said the voice crossly. "We did not pick you for leader to become a coward at the last minute!" She looked down in shame. "Go to your clan," It said more kindly, and she looked up, a new fire in her eyes. The mist faded, the other cats fading into more defined colors, and she trembled back to life. She blinked and looked up, looking for Goldenblaze, her 9th Life Killer. Instead, she saw young Onyxdart, her former apprentice, hissing and spitting at anything that dared come near her. "Onyx.." She rasped, rolling to her feet, shrugging the fallen warrior off her shoulders. She looked down sadly. She looked around. "What ha-" but she stopped as she laid her eyes on her daughter. She stumbled over to the bloody figure, curling around her freshly killed kin, with a low meow of distress. She looked up, eyes sharp. She would kill them both, Sharpfang and Goldenblaze... She stood. She would grieve when this battle was over, but now it was time for war. Amberstar was back.
