For the most part, and essentially, Double is a white cat. The cleanliness of this coat is in liking to the pureness of his mind and his heart, but if you ask him how he keeps it so.. white.. he won't be able to tell you. Nobody ever heard of a tom who could keep his whites white and have a technique to it-- it just seems to happen.

There are, however, a few blemishes on his fur which may or may not be reflective to his personality (it is a matter of opinion). From his tail to his ears he is white, but around his face he seems to have collected the attributes of a half finished calico-- splodges of brown and gold trace his short muzzle and paint his curved forehead softly. This is the greatest extent of colour change that his coat has ever achieved.

By his coat alone Double is a memorable sort of cat-- easily recognisable-- but it is his eyes that really define his being. It his eyes that he is well known for, and it is the word 'eye' that would have been used in his Warrior name had his prefix not ended with an 'e' and made the result (Doubleeye) unsightly. For Double was the first cat around these strange lands to have one eye a rich blue, and the other a bright, alert gold.

He is a gentleman in more ways than one. In company he is careful with his movements and speech, acting in a way that makes it seem as if he had thought out each action or word meticulously before doing or saying it, which is partly right. Double does not like to jump to conclusions and is instead very observant, giving the impression that he prefers his own company to that of others, which would be an incorrect assesment. Double has a particular talent with speaking, as his language is both flowery and understandable, meaning that he can rouse crowds and interest intellectuals. When he speaks, he has a voice that needs to be listened to: a voice that you want to listen to.

With Double, old habits die hard. He had many ways and mannerisms drummed into him from an early age that he has not been able to shed, for example, his clear submission to higher ranks, and his obvious respectability around females, whom he still believes should be treated kindly and traditionally. Raised in a highly devoted Clan, Double has always been ready and willing to accept the judgement of his Leader, which could become a fatal flaw: even if he thinks his Leader's decision is wrong, he will not speak against it. This means that he leaves open a door into which a potential disaster can walk.

Honourable and proud, Double is a reputable cat. His is the sort of name that would pass around circles of Warriors, as they commend the sheer cleanliness of his slate and reputation. Double walks his path down life dangerously close to the edge, making sure that he does not offend or make enemies out of others. He will do anything to defend his honour, but this can mean that he will sometimes shun others in favour of keeping his reputation clean. His priorities may not be quite correct, but you know that when Doubleheart makes you a promise, he will keep it.

Double knows there is a fine line between right and wrong, and he will strive to point out this line to others. He is not tolerant of what he calls 'wrong do-ers' and it is when faced with such a cat that his nasty side comes out. With good reason Double can be fuelded with an immeasurable anger, something that is essentially dangerous and so should be kept underwraps. Double makes fatal mistakes when he is angry and can often become so raged that he does not watch who he is lashing out at: it is for fear of himself that he stays complacent and keeps himself out of deep relationships that would tie him to painful grudges. Double will not allow himself to be angry.

Otherwise Double is kind, compassionate, and friendly. He enjoys company, he is brilliant with youngsters, he is good at teaching and he loves to pass on stories and legends, believing that the more you know about the past, the better prepared you are for the future. He would make a wonderful mate if he were not so afraid of the complications, a wonderful father is he could just overcome his own boundaries, and he is a wonderful friend and advisor to many.
