Queen didn't feel very noble right now. She still held her head up high, though the cold air stung her ears and made her eyes water. She had to blink too many times for it to be comfortable. Her paws made a small trail through the dusty ground towards a scent she found comforting. When the scent drew closer, her paws stoped. "is continuing smart?" She spoke flatly. It wasn't like Queen to intrude on any case, but stepping that first step into the unkown land did feel right. The smell trail shifted to behind her, just barely behind her. Queen sat her rump down on the ground, just inside the limits of Stealthclan. "queens should wait." She smiled proudly at what her servant, Kemel told her every day. With her head still held high, and her body shifiting into it's natural regal pose, Queen started the wait.

There are those who think That life has nothing left to chance. A host of holy horrors to direct our aimless dance.
A planet of playthings.
.x. Luckily for her, she didn’t have to wait long at all.
Newcomer.
The wind, kicking up a flurry of sand at Sunsetfire’s paws, brought him that news. A newcomer was there, around the borders. Inwardly, the great golden tom was please by the sudden arrival of new members, tail waving high for a moment as he moved from where he had been hunting towards the borders, making no attempt to hide his approach.
It was a she-cat seated there, looking all the word regal, just inside his borders. The leader slowed to a stop, head lifted high and strong as he watching the female for a moment, judging his words carefully before finally speaking, “What do you seek, she-cat? Admittance into my clan? A home, a good life amongst others?” It was a spin he knew so well, but there was a smile in the leader’s amber eyes – it was a spin he would never, ever grow tired of.

Her thoughts raced as soon as the tom appeared in her vision. Thinking deeply was not on Queen's list of things to do, but thinking of what to say was. “What do you seek, she-cat? Admittance into my clan? A home, a good life amongst others?” His words rang out in her head, her eyes flicking back and forth. "a home," she paused for the rest was uncertain. "which would be in your clan, I presume? Her own eyes stared around the land, then settled back on the tom. He was strongly built, with the deepest amber of eyes. Queen felt unsettled by those eyes, but the trust the ebbed from him was unbearably sweet. Like drinking honey strait from the bottle.[/blockquote]

.x. “Where else?” He flicked his white-tipped tail from side to side, indicating the hostile lands about him. Of course, the she-cat likely knew of such hardships – but she had been strong enough to survive almost unstable lands thus far.
“Of course, you don’t need to come out with a decision just yet – nor shall I attempt to guide in making such a decision. Even if it’s just rest to be needed for a few days, I shall not mind if you seek a safe haven for the duration of that time instead.” Sunsetfire rose to his paws, looking away from the she-cat to carefully scan the horizon. Here, at the outermost reaches of Stealthclan’s territory – the tom was more open to an assault by roving rogues or, even worse, scattered remnants of Boneclan.
Nothing.
Perhaps it was a mere blessing, truthfully, that such an attack hadn’t happened. Although he knew it was always a possibility, Sunsetfire did not wish to lose more clan mates and friends to such horrific means; but they would be ready. He would be ready, he defined, even as his steady, strong gaze returned to the she-cat. “My name is Sunsetfire. Might I have yours, miss?”

Queen waited to give her name. her thoughts raced around quite annoyingly, nipicking at her ears. watching Sunsetfire turn about and scan his land, her discision came at last. "I will gladly be apart of Stealthclan." She stated in her formal voice, bowing her head slightly. "I am Queen, named for my position in my last home." She scruched up her shoulders, almost expecting a blow from Kemel. last home she would be scoffing. "you need not to fret Sunsetfire, I have no desire to overthrow you for leadership. I am not a leader, more so just a simple follower." Queen sat down gently, she had stood to give her little speech. The reply she was to receive would be following soon.[/blockquote] [bah, sorry for the wait. lost muse after another post of mine was deleted. no way of getting it back either, it was a harsh blow. that was about two weeks ago, still suffering from it]

.x. Sunsetfire smiled. It was as easy now to do such a thing as it was when he had been a kit, a honest and true expression that lit up the tom’s face. Really, he was much younger then so many of his members seemed to think – Stealthclan may have been around for a while now as an established clan but the core, as well as the ideal, had come to fruit when he had been only three moons old. “It would be lovely to have you aboard, Queen.” He swept a paw out in a friendly, light-hearted gesture as she continued on – but then she scrunched down, as if someone were about to strike her.
Surprise entered his amber eyes and the tom took another glance around – almost expecting for someone to appear that she was flinching away from. Nothing. No one. Clearly puzzled, he looked back to Queen. “You do not have to keep that name, if it holds that sort of grip on you.” He didn’t know exactly why she wouldn’t have a name outside her rank, although now he half expected for kits to come wandering up, but if she didn’t like it he could properly give her another one at the meeting he planned to hold soon.
Instead, the young leader smiled again, raising to his paws and moving forward, flicking his tail in the hopes for Queen to follow. “Camp is this way; the brambles will become much easier to navigate the more you get used to the paths.”

Queen felt her cheeks get hot, she hadn't meant to flinch. When Sunsetfire noticed she casted her eyes away, trying to draw away from her stupid flinching. She felt relief when Sunsetfire discarded her flinching, and instead said she could get rid of her name "I never thought of changing name." Her voice held her confusion, which in turn made Queen scoff at herself inside. She was to show no emotion that would give away any part of her. She glowered at the ground, then trotted like a true follower would after Sunsetfire. Bring on this new life, she cheered inside. [/blockquote]
