Bete lifted her head to the sky. "I smell rabbits, a whole bunch of them too!" Spring was here...
By now, she and her friends where out of camp, just hunting along in the Rogue Meadows. It was peacful today, and quite warm...
The siamese pointed with her tail to the place with the prey with which she smelled...

[ Eh, Giddy, RisingClan cats don't hunt in the Rogue Meadow. They hunt in RisingClan. ]

[ Yes, but I doubt the other warriors would be so foolish as to hunt outside RisingClan boundries, especially in wartime ]

((That's exactly the point! If I understand correctly, most of the cats are too new to the Clan to know exactly where the bounderies are...))

Deepcreek has been around for a LONG time, from what I understand. She definitely knows better than to wander off Risingclan's boundaries.
Now, if you'd like her to assert her authority and take you back to the borders, I can do that, but...
If you just want me to start it since she's supposed to be leading, I can. Yesterday was just an issue cause I was so busy.

And Bete wouldn't know because she's new too.))

[ The boundries are scent-marked ^^ One can find them fairly easily, though it's concievable that a newcomer could get distracted and wander outside ]

[Notice she said newcomer though, Giddy. If i'm correct, Bete has been a part of Risingclan for a while. ^^ If you want to start controversy, be my guest, but something tells me if something happens, Kestrel won't be happy. She'll already have my hide for having Bluerage get stolen. ]

Deepcreek stopped just inside the Risingclan borders, ears tipped forward as she watched Bete just keep walking. Deepcreek refused stubbornly to set a foot outside these boundaries, unless there was a very good reason. Hunting was not a good reason, to her. Her tail flicked anxiously for a second.
"Bete, I'm not hunting out there. We're not supposed to leave boundaries, and Kestrel will have our hides if she finds out. If you want to hunt out there... well, I can't stop you, but I'm going back that way," she called to the other cat, then turned after a moment, looking for Kanashimi. She didn't want the other cat to just go following blindly after Bete, though she didn't she would.

Kanashimi ran after Bete, feeling the wind blow through her whiskers. But Deepcreek stopped, and the young Japanese Bobtail she-cat skidded to a halt. What was happening? Why was Deepcreek stopping?
"What happens now?"
She glanced curiously from Deepcreek to Bete and back to Deepcreek.

Bete stopped dead and looked worriedly to Deepcreek. "We've passed the boundery?" she asked meekly. She mumbled about how no one had shown her where they where and how she didn't know the distinct RisingClan scent. "Maybe we should just hunt real quick and then go for a tour... Just to see where the bounderies are?"
The siamese whiskers twitched as she scented prety and instinctly dropped into a hunting crouch, turning toward the movement in a brush.

"Sure, but we can't this side of the boundaries just as well as as from that side. Like I said, I'm not leaving our boundaries, even a foot away," Deepcreek said to Bete. Then she turned to Kanashimi.
"Well, we're supposed to be hunting... but on our side of the boundaries, and they stop right here," she said, gesturing to the invisible Risingclan border.
"C'mon, Bete, we can't just leave you here. I know a better place anyway, with rabbits and all kinds of things to hunt. And I can show you where the borders are on the way, we can take the long way around. Then you and Kana both will know where exactly the boundaries are on this side, and what they smell like," she said to Bete again. How do you get a cat who doesn't appear to want to to follow your directions? Deepcreek didn't know, but it wasn't like she could physically haul Bete back with them if she chose not to come. The orange and white mottled tom simply stepped from the undergrowth near Bete. Cold eyes watching the Siamese she-cat, before turning to land on the forms of the other two she-cats. Did they know? Would they know?
“I’m looking for someone. Or even news on her.”
He begun, voice a little awkward sounding from disuse. After all, Oblivion hadn’t had overly much contact with others cats. Save that blood-sucker Deathwish.
He was quiet after that; although his unblinking gaze would likely prove to be…unsettling…but then again, he’d heard worse about him. He hand’t proven to be a threat, not just yet. The Rage hadn’t gripped him and tore the control from his grasp. The perfect weapon merely blinked, finally, his gaze sweeping the trio again.
“Her name is Heartless.”

A low hiss escaped Deepcreek as the new cat enquired after Heartless.
"Bete. Get. Over. Here. Now," she said to the other cat. Why did Deepcreek think borders would protect she and the others? Most rogues didn't care for such things, and any Boneclanner would ignore them outright.
Eyes flicked warily to the mottled tom. She wasn't offering any threat- she stayed where she was, didn't make any move to attack.
"Why are you inquiring? The only news I know of her is she's running with Boneclan" she said, finally. Rude? Maybe. But she was paranoid, and this tom had just asked after one of the Boneclan cats. So she thought he perhaps associated with them. If he proved not to... oh, she'd be embarassed.

“Bone…clan…?”
The look the mottled tom gave the she-cat who had addressed him was completely lost. He wasn’t from the Valley. And, unlike his sister, he had only recently escaped that hell.
He didn’t know of the change in Heartless. How she was a cannibal. How evil she had become.
He hadn’t seen her for such a long time after all. She had escaped first.
“Is she happy? Are they treating her well?”
He didn’t know of this clan, although it surprised him to hear she had joined it. After all her parting words to him were that she’d never set paws in a clan again.
Oblivion shivered, claws unsheathing to lightly knead the soil beneath him. This was, perhaps, the only sigh he gave that her news bothered him any.
A clan? Clans were terrible terrible things. Or, at least, the experience he had with Ordealclan was. He had been their Perfect Weapon. Molded and modled since his birth to kill and kill again; destroy those cats who crossed the clan. A beast with no future save to serve Tormentstar, to exist to kill until his own dying day. Oblivion hadn’t wanted that. Not anymore.
He had rebelled from Tormentstar’s orders. Slitted the twisted leaders throat. And ran. Ran and ran.
A heart beat firming in his chest. He was no machine, no weapon to be used heedlessly. He had free will.
And he was free.

Deepcreek gave the tom an appraising look. She was a little confused- he inquired after Heartless, but seemed nice enough. He hadn't threatened them.
"I don't know if she's happy. I also don't know if they treat her well. Boneclan and Risingclan don't exactly get along," Deepcreek replied. She was hesitant to tell this tom that the Heartless he inquired after with such apparent concern was a cannibal, part of a murderous, vicious clan. Partly she was afraid he might still be just playing at innocent, and the slightest thing would set him off. Partly she didn't want to upset someone by breaking to them unhappy news.
