= = = = = = = = = = = = The wind whipped twists of dust from the gray earth and tossed them skyward; the dark thicket was thunderous with the clashing of branches in the gale. A storm was fast approaching, and though within the shadowed and sheltered midst of the thicket there was little more than a breeze, the taller trees shook as if in fear. The thicket was in a way an ingrown forest; gray and stunted, quiet and filled with deep black shadows. It was very small, and stood just inside BoneClan land.
Slipping smoothly through the knotted branches, sleek coats repelling snagging thorns as if by magic, a pair of cats appeared. If magic they had, it was a malignant sort; the thunderheads in the darkening sky seemed to trail them, as if the pair had brought them or had been chased to this place by them. Against a graying sky, the silhouettes of the cats seemed more than similar-- they seemed like doubles. Both were slim and short-furred, with long, willowy limbs and kinked tails.
"This is it, I can feel it," one of the cats hissed, anticipation in her voice. Slanted eyes flashed blue in the half-light.
"Are you sure?" The second cat sounded more uneasy; her ears were angled alertly forward, and she lifted her triangular head to scent the air. "Are you sure this is the place?"
The first cat tossed the other a slightly irritated glance. "Of course. It lies beyond, within their Camp, wherever it may be."
The second shivered. A distant flash of lightening flickered white light across her face; she was a Siamese, the mask of her face almost black, her ears a like color. Her eyes were the same blue as the first cat's. "You can't just--"
"--I won't. I can wait," meowed the first, catching the other's sentence before she even finished. "Calm yourself, Dangeroushope."
Dangeroushope frowned, flicking her tail. Her fur shone bone-white in the failing light; with twilight upon the meadow, she would be an easy sight to see. With the cover of darkness she could go unnoticed, but she felt so conspicuous right now. The first cat looked the same; not the similarities of sisters but of twins. In the cat world, twins are not so important, but here there was an anomaly: both she-cats had the same snowy fur, the same brown-black masks and ears and tails, the same shading to deep brown on the paws. The same sizes and proportions. So alike were they, it was nearly impossible to tell them apart. Only their voices differed. Dangeroushope's tones were lighter and clearer; her sister's were lower and sleeker somehow. Seductive.
"We'll stay here," Shadowedfate meowed quietly. "The shelter is better here."
Dangeroushope nodded and crouched, half-laying and half-supporting her weight on her graceful legs. Shadowedfate sat, her blue eyes narrowed, ever-vigilant.

ooc - mind if I hop in? ;3
Two femmes stood beyond them, exactly alike. One's voice was sweet and sleek, the other's light and clear.
The two who stood behind those twins were clearly related; one, however, had flame-coloured points, while the other had dark brown. Both had the same light blue eyes, full of curiosity.
Only seven moons had followed them in their lives but they were experienced enough.
For BoneClan.
The fire-pelted tom began to leap forward but the seal-pointed fae stopped him with a sweet, but authorative meow.
"We have yet to figure out where the camp lies, Princepaw."
Her tail flicked and she sat, blue eyes scanning the landscape.
"We shouldn't go galavanting off into the territory only to be murdered and devoured."
Princepaw turned, sapphire eyes aflame with defiance, but as the fact registered in his mind, he sighed and he bowed his head in submission.
"You're right, Duchesspaw."
The flame-pointed tomcat turned his head longingly. To be with another cat, besides just Duchesspaw...he wanted the company of more than one cat.
He turned and leaped forward.
"But maybe they can help us!"
Duchesspaw lurched forward after him, grass not even quivering under her paws. She slipped under a bush, the branches not even shaking to acknowledge her presense.
"Princepaw, no!"
But he had already reached the two femmes and was asking their names, and the direction of BoneClan.

= = = = = = = = = = = = Shadowedfate's blue eyes narrowed warily, and she tapped her tail in warning.
But Dangeroushope padded forward to greet her fellow siamese wanderer. "Hello," she meowed softly. "I am Dangeroushope, and this is my sister, Shadowedfate."
"And obviously we have no idea where the camp is, or we would not be wandering out here in a storm," Shadowedfate added, her voice cool and expressionless, though her blue eyes flashed with a dangerous light.
Shadowedfate tossed her sister an unreadable glance, which Dangeroushope returned. "We are wanderers, seeking acceptance into BoneClan, and this is their land," they said together, their voices mixing so perfectly it was eerie.

Princepaw tipped his head and stepped back, a bit freaked out by the Siamese twins' perfect togetherness. Then he shrugged, and flicked his tail.
"I am Princepaw..."
His speech was light and happy. He flicked his tail to Duchesspaw; to thin air.
"...And this is Duchesspaw!"
Duchesspaw shyed away from the identical sisters. They couldn't see her, but she didn't know that. She was real to herself, and she was real to Princepaw. That was all that mattered.
She dipped her head to the twins.
"Hello."
Duchesspaw leaned forward to sniff Dangeroushope and Shadowedfate warily. They seemed trustworthy...enough. After all, she and Princepaw were heading to the same place, weren't they?
But now, to make matters worse, Duchesspaw was about to ask a very important question.
"Can - can we trust you?"
She growled as they didn't answer her. Princepaw stepped forward and growled too.
"Didn't you hear Duchesspaw? She asked you if we can trust you."

"You can't trust anyone in this place, kit."
Bane's whimsical voice, a melody to those in touch with his thinking, his beautiful ways. It was an odd scene.... four siamese cats, two pairs of twins despite the finely tuned points of their physique, tainted with different vivid colours. Yet all were so sleek, so elegant. Though Bane did not doubt their ability, for sleek was no better nor worse than strong. The tom sat a fair distance away, so only his silhouette could be seen against the dark thicket, his eyes hardly visible, if only at a faint glow.
"I trust you have a fair reason to be upon my land, else you would not be searching for my camp. Speak it, or be gone."
This close to the oncoming battle, Bane hoped this was not a waste of his precious time. Yet he did not dismiss the idea of new members, for too many was never enough. RisingClan would not go down easily, and he needed good fighters, willing to put their lives on the line for him. And, stereotypical as it was, siamese were the best when it came to intelligence and cunning - Bane could use their skills easily, yet he wished to see just how willing they were to stand behind Bane, warriors of Boneclan.

= = = = = = = = = = = = Dangeroushope jumped at the sound of Bane's voice, but Shadowedfate was not at all suprised. Both cats fixed the tom in their blue-eyed gaze.
So alike were they, it seemed that one leaned against a mirror and not another cat. Like one was the reflection of the other.
"I would join your Clan, if you'll have me," Shadowedfate meowed smoothly, her eyes glittering.
Dangeroushope stuck beside her sister, but a flicker of uncertainty crossed her face. The siblings were very pretty cats, which only added to the strangeness of seeing such likeness between them. Each flawlessly like the other...except for their manners. Dangeroushope was sweeter and more doubtful, her sister, more deceptive and darker.
But Shadowedfate went on, "I have had little experience with fighting, but I'm...a fast learner." Something like a dark smile settled on her face.

ooc - whoops, Bane, no one can see Duchesspaw but Princey <3 So Baney-kitty can only really see three cats.
"You can't trust anyone in this place, kit."
Princepaw also jumped at the sound of Bane's voice, like Dangeroushope had just done. Duchesspaw only flicked her ears and glanced warily at the black tom.
"No one?"
His voice was curious and a bit disappointed; he had wanted to be able to trust some one, to have a family. To have some one to be able to see Duchesspaw...
But of course, he could see Duchesspaw, and thought everyone else could, too.
Princepaw listened to Shadowedfate speak and nodded.
"We'd join too, if we could...that is, if you have room for two apprentices."
Subconciously, he knew that Bane would question the 'two', but that was only in the small corner of his mind that knew everything. The rest of his mind was so imaginative that Duchesspaw's dimension crossed over with his own.
"Duchesspaw and I are both great fighters."

Excellent. 3 newcomers in one day.... yet, this kit spoke of a fourth, and at a second sniff of the air Bane could sense no other. He frowned at the young kit, his head cocked to one side.
"Excuse me.... but who is Duchesspaw?"
He spoke with slight malice, yet with humour also. He assumed that Duchesspaw, as this Princepaw had said, was the name of the fourth. He turned his attention to the siamese duo, in particular the one who spoke.
"Practise can be sorted for you.... your names?"
His gaze then turned on the supposedly more anxious of the two.
"And what of you, dear? Your sister, or so I assume, speaks for herself, yet you seem a little more weary of me and my clan. "

[ felt like playing them, and i forgot about this post o.o ]
= = = = = = = = = = = = Shadowedfate cast her sister a questioning glance, but there was amusement concealed in her blue eyes as well.
Dangeroushope started as Bane adressed her. With difficulty, she forced herself to meet his gaze. "My sister speaks for me." Her sweet, clear voice stood out against the crashing of the wind in the trees. "Where she goes, I go."
Shadowedfate looked pleased, though the reason why was difficult to tell. "Thank you, Bane," she purred. Yes, she knew Bane; his reputation was famous in this land. As for 'BoneClan'...the name had stuck in Shadowedfate's mind since the moment she heard it whispered, since the moment she saw the fear in the loner's eyes at the name. Her Destiny, in accordance to ArchedClan culture.
"We are Shadowedfate and Dangeroushope," the siamese cats said in unison.

Bane nodded at their names, still feeling rather uncertain about the one twin who seemed unable to speak for herself. Hopefully she could fight better than she could speak. A small smile formed, and the large BoneClan Leader stood, his tail flicking behind him as he began to walk.
"This way to camp."
The tom signalled also for the apprentice to follow, if that was what she wanted. This Duchesspaw she spoke of didn't matter - Bane put it down as an imaginary friend, as no scent was on the air still.
Just like he had came, Bane became just another shadow.
