Peaceful.
That was truly the only word that the huge silver tom could use to describe the current setting painted around him at this point in time. He sat beside the edge of some large oasis, one of three he knew to be within this Valley. Outside the walls that shielded it from the world were more, he knew this two, larger things, incomprehensible, indescribable things. One day, should he ever escape Mother’s grasp, be freed from his duties as Her killer…he would like to see that world.
One day…
Bah. There would never be that chance. Anger momentarily seized the unnatural tom, and he dug one insanely long claw into the soil beneath his paws, dragging it in a smooth line.
There would never be any freedom for him and his brothers. Carnage may relish the fact that he would die for that seething parasite of a she-cat that was their mother, but Shinentai, and he suspected at least Unholy Confession felt the same, did not.
He had not seen any of his brothers in moons. Mother in less then one, but he had manage to slip away during one of her long rants about how she was The Calamity, how she would end this sniveling, cowardly world and bring in a new dawn of fear and blood.
Shinentai had heard it all before, so many vacant times within his past.
The tom stared across the oasis, blankness in those alluring blue-green hues, and sheathed the one claw as much as it possibly could. It was raining there, over on the other side. Maybe he could go over there and investigate? Prey would be out and foraging in the rare downpour, taking advantage of it. But he was not hungry, and when it all came down to it there was no point in killing when it came to no satisfying end. The tom didn’t even had orders from Her, so no, he would just say there, sitting as still as a marble statue.
He refused to look into the oasis water.
Many times he had heard about his appearance. While he was in fact a quite handsome tom, features angled precisely, the abnormalities always seemed to set off something in every other outside cat he’d ever met. He was different. He was wrong.
His head flicked, the long strands of hair that generally fell into to them from that long ridge of fur which rippled down his hack halfway falling out of his vision, and that gaze looked up towards the free expanse of the sky. There would be a rainbow, after the rain stopped, so clear this day was.
Shinentai had known when he entered this land that another, many others, had claimed it as theirs. But it was land, part of the Planet, and that was something that could never truly be owned. When the claimers had died and rotten away, their bones lost into the sands of time, this world would still be here. It might change; it might no longer be recognizable as having been this land, but it would remain.
Temporary boundaries such as those had no meaning to a cat with no world, nothing save for himself and his twisted family.

So much anger for such a young tom such as yourself, eh? Came the gruff, if not seething voice of a deep grey and silver tom. The only thing striking about this ordinary appearing tom was the frosty, ice-blue eyes that gleamed at Shinentai with simple interest. He welcomed himself to sit upon a rock looking down at the irritable tom, though not in a dominant matter. In fact, the tom looked quite pleasant, despite the bitter posture and glitter in his cold eyes.
Hatred was something that could fuel something.. Something Hexfrost badly needed; help.
Although Hexfrost new little of this tom or the reason behind his hate, there was something Hexfrost could help him with. And something he could help the young grey tom with. Hexfrost had a mother, a disappoining one at that. His orders were to have her dead. But his former leader, if Hexfrost could even call it that, never said he couldn't find help.
... Perhaps if this tom could explain his side of the story, Hexfrost was sure to help. I see we have an ignorance for borders. No worries, though; i'm no Risingclanner. I'm not quite cut out for the clan.
So!
Do tell as to why we are staring into the distance with something troubled on our minds??

Shinentai knew the other tom was there before he had so much as taken a breath to utter his words. There was not as much as a flinch, a twitch, that he even heralded the other presence. In the span of a few seconds the mutated tom had already accurately judged the distance between the two, exactly how the other tom was posed from his breathing and the subtle shifts of his muscles each time he so much as twitched, and the amount of force he would need to drive those unnaturally long claws into the tom’s internal organs without any waste or outward expense of needless energy.
Too simple.
Silence.
Not a word was spoken towards the other tom as he simply allowed him to go on, keep talking. Some cats seemed to enjoy hearing the sound of their own voice; Fair was much the same.
Borders? No, this tom, he was nothing like him. He could see that there were no borders, that it was merely an illusion crafted by the minds of others to ensnare a feline. Trap them in a merciless prison where you could writhe and scream all you want and never escape.
But that was Mother’s voice talking, Her words.
Get out of my head.
Shinentai had been hoping to be alone. Now this senseless tom didn’t seem to want to go away, and it was bothersome. Perhaps even irritating.
“You done yet?”
One of those luminous, unearthly, blue-green hues rolled upward as the silver tom tilted his head ever so slightly, resting coldly on the other tom. The warning in the rather emotionless voice was clear ‘keep talking and you will die’.
And Shinentai was fully capable of holding onto that too. He knew it. He was almost assured the other tom knew it too. There were few, if any, in this valley that could match the tainted tom.
This other tom was surely not one of them.
Ah, but Shinentai had been listening to the other tom’s words, as boring and pointless as he had found them. This other couldn’t be much older then he was, likely even younger even.
And he actually thought he could guess at what went on within the silver tom’s mind. It was amusing, rather, if not even more irritating. Fair didn’t even do that, and the black tom was good at attempting to but the sullen one.
“You presume much.”

So I see we are serious. Alright, I shall call myself the epitamy of Seriousness, all in all, and I offer you a proposition. Hexfrost looked up, his cold eyes meeting the face of the tom undauntingly, unflinching, though he made no motion to move away. Perhaps I presume much, but I assure you it is a good point for defense; gets one through life quicker, He growled softly, though he had lost the antagonizing appearance and tone; now all was business.
They call me Hexfrost, simple enough to remember me by. And here is my proposition. An easy task, an I scatch your back you scratch mine sort of thing.
Think of somebody you want dead, dying, broken, bleeding, hurting, crying, mourning, or even all of the above. Get it good. Got it?
I can help you kill them. Rid them from your life.
And in return I want nothing else but for you to help me kill one cat, one cat only, and then I shall leave you alone. Interested? Remarked the tom with a quirk of his silver-tan head, smirking. He looked innocent enough, though Hexfrost was not going to abandon the tom midway through. Too formidable, a bad enemy if there ever was one. Even if he was making himself an enemy of the tom by standing here chattering like a two-leg, let it best be one of a harmless case, and not one liable for a painful vengeance.
[Alright Umbee, if you seriously need him gone and he's intruding, he'll be running like a madman. XDD I just havn't RPed him in so long and I figured I might as well throw him here. ^^ Sorry if i'm intruding!! Don't hate me if I am! ; ]

Oh?
A proposition?
This other tom, Hexfrost, was a great annoyance. But he spoke of business, and that had, at first, intrigued the stoic one. Then, as he went on, it only made him desire to laugh. That desire, as faint and rare as it was, had been killed the moment it first dared to flutter through Shinentai’s mind, and the tom returned his gaze forward, across the oasis.
Someone he wanted two?
There were two, that annoyance of a little brother who called himself Carnage. But he knew that he could kill him easily should Mother ever tire of the youngest’s attempts to please Her.
And the other?
Neither he nor Hexfrost’s combined strengths could stop Her.
Shinentai’s expression never wavered as the thoughts filtered so easily through his mind. He was a killer, an owned weapon, but he was not stupid. He courted death, killed and killed again at the merest word dropped from Velvet’s lips, but he did not see any benefit from this deal for him.
“Are you too weak to finish off this one cat yourself?”
Still, no emotion dared to bun through the silver tom’s voice, although they were cruel and biting towards Hexfrost. It wasn’t a goad into a fight; that simply was not Shinentai’s style. Should he choose to have fought the other tom he would have attacked already and been heading off, leaving Hexfrost’s corpse to rot there in the sand.
Such was the confidence he had in his own capabilities.
[Nooo, I dun mind you being here silly. xD Shinentai’s a loner who hates company, thus his all ‘go away’ attitude.
…of, and Kest! If you wanna bring in ol’ Fair go on ahead. Could be funny. xD]

.go fish
Uh oh.
This might be troublesome. Shinentai was a good cat (or at least, his friend thought so), but he was not one to irritate.
A large, wiry-muscled tom stepped from the long grass, his pale violet eyes glimmering. He had a mess of spiky black fur that was a comb's worst enemy-- the twolegs he had known had learned that many times over. But he was no kittypet. There was strength in his limbs, and he was no stranger to fights.
His name was Fair.
He didn't say anything, but he threw Shinentai a supporting look, his eyes bright as lamps.

Hexfrost cast him a hard stare, regarding him with stiff coolness. He let a low growl of annoyance, hardly a threat to the massive Shinentai. You mock me, tom, though I offer you help. It is not to say that I am weak so as not to be capable of killing a single cat, though I would never resist help if given.
No.
I offer you help because you seem like the kind of tom who would seek vengeance on one. Formidable cats know formidable friends. You- He cut off as yet another tom emerged into the clearing, looking like quite the deputy towards the tom before him. He'd suddenly realized he had yet to know the tom's name. And now, either of them. Greetings. Might I ask why you may be here upon this loveley eve? Questioned the sleek grey and white tom, not in an unfriendly way at all. Merely wary and questioning. Pestering as Hexfrost was, he was not one to enjoy being pestered. Ah well, as long as the tom had nothing against the fall of Underworld...

Help?
Even the combined force of both Shinentai and Fair wouldn’t be able to take down Velvet. Especially if they didn’t rid themselves of those pestilent trio that were his half brothers beforehand. The mutated tom barely moved, although his head just so slightly tilted, angled towards the black tom who generally followed him around and tried to make his life bearable.
Such an action was relieving to Shinentai, but his life couldn’t be fixed. Nothing could change no matter how Fair tried.
“Lead us.”
It was the closest to an affirmative that Hexfrost would get from the silver tom, but details to such an alliance could be worked out later when the she-cat was dead.
