Jadekit looked out into the slightly clouded skies, the winds had died down slightly, but still whipped the clouds along at a steady, quick pace. What was that? A sillouette was decending into the nursery. Jadekit got up and walked forward a few paces. It was a magpie, it's shining feathers of ebony and ivory not a but ruffled from the wind. It landed on a small pointed rock formation, dropping from it's beak, a small pile of tall grasses, a couple downy feathers, and a shiny rock of red. The tiny kit moved forward slowly, pawstep by pawstep, towards the bird and the assortment it had just dropped. Jadekit made a soft chortling noise that came from deep within her throat, while looking up at the bird that was easily five times her size, quite massive for its species. It cocked it's head to the side several times before it let out 3 raucous caws, opening its huge wings and taking off.
Thank you, friend! The tiny kit called after the bird. She turned her attention back to the grasses, down, and pebble. Her brow furrowed as she inspected every way in which the objects fell, and the placement of each. The results seemed to disturb and confuse her.
Now what in the name of StarClan?--

Brighteye looked out from the entrance of the den at Jadekit's dismay, and trotted toward the little kit. What's wrong, Jadekit... The wind changed abruptly. Wait, I smell... She hissed. Dog!
Oaksnout trotted up the slope towards where the lady-cat had said they were going to live. He was SO excited. Oaksnout could smell a lot of different cats, and it smelled to him like family. His tail wagged a million beats a minute. Autumnclaw and Mudstreak were just a little behind him, so he decided to charge ahead up the slope. Oaksnout see StoooooneClaaa- He was cut off abruptly at the entrance to the camp by a spitting red warrior...
Brighteye yowled at the beagle coming into the camp. It had howled something as it charged, it sounded like words, but it couldn't have been... She shook her head and drew back her paw, claws unsheathed, only to be stopped by...
Autumnclaw slammed into the red she-cat, knocking her away from Oaksnout. I should have known, these embleer Clan cats would try something! he thought. You get away from my little brother! he spat. He looked up from the red warrior's astonished face at the entrance of...
Mudstreak had galloped up the slope at the sounds of fighting, and he quickly assessed the situation upon hearing Autumnclaw's words. Yes, Oaksnout, the dog, he's Autumnclaw's adopted brother and my adopted son, we've raised himfromasmallpuppyhe'sreallylikeabigcatdon'thurthimPLEASE! Mudstreak gasped for breath and looked to....
Oaksnout was uncertain. It had looked like the two cats were playfighting like Autumnclaw and him would have. His brother was now slowly getting up and the red cat was rising as well, silent but looking at him funny. He sat and thumped his tail on the ground. Everybody turned to look at him, and he gave his sweet smile. Hi lady!

Featherstar once again smiled at the dog as she calmly trotted into the area. It seem that Oaksnout and his family had been noticed. I would like to introduce you all to Oaksnout, Mudstreak and Autumnclaw. I have accepted them as members of StoneClan. Is there anyone here who has a problem with that? The tone in her voice, suddenly serious, just dared one of the felines to challenge it.

Jadekit had been about to answer Brighteye, but when she turned, all she could see of the warrior was her puffed up tail, the rest of her body hidden from view, and hear hissing and spitting. A tussle perhaps? Jadekit scapmered over to meet the tail-end of the confrontation, pun not intended, Featherstar had just spoken. Jadekit had just found the source of all the commotion, an adorable puppy! She saw no threat in the shining eyes and happy face and let out a squeak of joy as she bounded towards this 'Oaksnout'.
I've absolutely no problem with it, ma'am!
She said cheerily as she leapt upon the pup.
Hello!

No ma'am, said Brighteye through gritted teeth. She wouldn't object out loud, not when she was so new and the dog was not harming anyone. But she would keep a very, very close eye on this...
Oaksnout tumbled around enthusiastically with Jadekit. He loved Clan life already! He gave the little gray-and-white kit a huge lick. Teeny cat friend! he said. He glanced sideways at Brighteye. He leaned over snd shoved his nose in Brighteye's ear. Red lay cat friend too! He was seemingly unaware of or had forgotten about almost being attacked by...
Brighteye was being very carefully watched by Autumnclaw. Currently she was giggling a bit hesitantly at the feel of Oaksnout's cold, wet nose in her ear. He knew why she had done it, (she was the same age as him and probably seen as much, if not more in life), but he couldn't be sure that she wasn't going to try something. He was staring intently at her when Brighteye looked up from staring intensely at Oaksnout. Their eyes met, and suddenly his paws felt very tingly. He returned to staring intensely, but this time at a small stone at his feet.

"Dog? Dog!" Warfox yowled, following after the others. He wasn't wild about dogs. But this one was only a puppy... and it wasn't being the least bit threatening. The orange warrior stood and watched the newcomers uncertainly. His tail flicked uncertainly a couple times before he sat. No, he had no disagreement. He might even be convinced there was something endearing about the youngster. The warrior was smiling ever so slightly watching Oaksnout make friends as fast as it seemed possible.
Spellbound didn't smell the dog, but he heard other people shouting about it. "Wait, what? You're kidding... a dog?" he asked from inside the den still. It was a bit crowded to be pushing one's way outside. But now that he thought about it, he did scent the dog. Well this was odd. Spellbound wasn't sure about dogs. He was, like any sane cat so far as he was concerned, very very wary of them. Oh, sure, there'd been the one belonging to the other magician, but in his experience, dogs very much liked chasing cats. Sometimes with inconvenient consequences. So he was very much content with staying down here, where the dog wasn't. Not that he objected to its presence. He just had no desire whatsoever to give it a chance to chase him up a tree, whether it seemed the sort of dog to do that or not.

Oaksnout was tired. It had been a big day, what with all the travel, getting accepted into the clan, and then romping with Jadekit. Oaksnout go sleep now, he announced. Oaksnout looked around, and his eyes alighted on a spot near the nursery, under a ledge. It had a pile of dead leaves and, lo and behold, moss underneath! He trotted over, with glee. Oaksnout curled up comfortably and promptly drifted off to dreamland.
Brighteye warily watched as Oaksnout went to sleep. After a while, she turned to Jadekit. So, what did the magpie give you? Also... what is StarClan again?
Autumnclaw snorted derisively. You don't know what StarClan is? It's our warrior ancestors, duh. When a warrior dies, their soul goes to StarClan, in Silverpelt in the sky. He immediatley regretted being rude to her at the sight at of the hurt look on the face of...
Brighteye looked down. Oh. She looked up. The sun was setting now, and she could just begin to see Silverpelt. Was her mother up there?

Jadekit raised a confused eyebrow to the suprisingly bitter tom. Shaking her head as if she hadn't noticed his harsh tone, she spoke.
Yea. StarClan, like he said, are our warrior ancestors, looking down on us from Silverpelt. She flicked her tail to the sky, even though the stars were not shining, for it was day. And even so, the clouds blocked the sky.
And...the magpie. There was a sign and it told of some sort of trouble going on, south of our borders...rogues i think? But aren't rogues always trouble?
She shrugged her shoulders and continued,
The magpie couldn't tell me anymore information, because even he didn't know the extent of it. He told me he would come back anytime there was something that needed telling....
Her gaze went somewhere else, focused on something not seen... Why would a bird care about the well-being of cats? Why would he come to a StoneClan kit and not a leader? Or TreeClan or even DuskClan, for that matter. They were at just as much risk. They all shared boundaries with Rogue Meadow. It was all a bit too confusing for Jadekit, despite her knowledge for such a young...so very young, age.
Slowly...oh so slowly and surely. As if a beige and grey shadow were creeping along a high ledge above the cats congregated below. His breath shallow and steady, careful not to misplace a single pebble. His mission...he was not to be seen nor heard.... Careful......caaarefulllllll.......step......step step.....FLUTTER!
YAGHHHHH~!!!!
A rock dove had flow from it's perch, having seen the creeping tom. He was startled, and being the spazz he is, started and jumped in the air....not being so lucky as he just missed the ledge on the way down, plummeting to the StoneClan camp a good few foxlengths below.
UHFF!
He landed with an abrupt thud and grunt, sending up a cloud of dust, not exactly making a graceful landing. The longhaired, Birman tom hopped to his feet, fluffing himself up, hopping in a circle, making sure that he was not attacked from behind.
HUH! JOO FR'END OR FOE, JAH!? If foe, I cut joo real goot, jah! Los'Dawt nawt sceered uff joo!

OOC: OMG!!!! I just figured it out! HE'S KEHARR!!!!!
Brighteye had been mulling over the magpie's message when this Lostthought had dropped from the sky and started shouting like a maniac. That rude Autumnclaw had shot right past her, and she nearly fell over. No, she said carefully, None of us here are foes. she glanced around. That's why we're in a clan. We're all friends. What is your name, tom?
Autumnclaw's head was whirling. At the entrance of the loud, accented cat, he jumped forward to protect, uhh.. who? His father was to the left, Oaksnout was (still) sleeping in the corner...Brighteye? He shook his head, embarassed. He looked extremely stupid, standing out in front. He tried to look tough again. How do you know he isn't a foe? he snapped.
Oaksnout snored on.

Ooc// 'jah jah!' right you are, friend! and he's also a mix of a certain little kitty we love. here's a hint: "STELLAAAAA!!!" xD
Jadekit jumped back in suprise, the cat seemed to come out of nowhere. Her fur stood on end as she tried to calm herself a bit, feeling a bit more secure with more adult cats with her.
Lostthought still stood warily, though the she-cat said they were not foes, his eyes roved from one cat to the next, examining them.
You say fr'end, but I keep eye on joo lot , jah, d'as vhut i do. My name, Los'dawt. His eyes still flickered about as he spoke, ever wary. Jah, dere's dat nice vhurd agin. Clehn. Joor Clehn joo say. Preedy vhurd, jah.
His intense eyes bore into AutumnClaw. He took a few steps toward the tom, his tail swishing from side to side.
If preedy lehdy-cat say joor fr'end-clehn, I be fr'end too, jah. Buht if joo want be uhn'fr'end-like, I be uhn'fr'end right back, leedle tomkeet!
He had come quite close and almost able to touch Autumnclaw's whiskers, as he growled his response to the bitter tom's retort. He then backed up, giving a rough snort.

Brighteye struggled not to laugh. Yes, Autumnclaw, we're all friends here. And Clan is a pretty word, is it not?
Autumnclaw's ear tips burned with anger and embarassment. As Lostthought turned to go, Autumnclaw stepped forwardand hissed, Well maybe I don't care whether or not your friendly!

Lostthought's ears pricked as Autumnclaw spoke. Turning around, he advanced on the young tom, this time, he cared not if he was too close. He was all up in Autumnclaw's grill to put it bluntly.
PAH! D'ehn you just gained vhun hehll uhv an ehnemy, TVINKLETOES! He hopped in the air as he said the last word, puffing up his fur, But Los'dawt noht stuhpehd! I noh fight you, Tvinkletoes. I juhs' goin'k to glare hehtfully aht joo fruhm reasuhn'ble deestance, jah. He ended his banter with a low hiss. Though he seemed crazy, he wasn't dumb. He wasn't about to start a fight with a cat in Featherstar's clan. He respected the 'preedy Fehdduhstah lehdy-ceht' and didn't want to give her a reason to dislike him. But this cat. This 'Tvinkletoes' was another story. If he started something, Lotthought would gladly finish it. Ending a fight was different than starting it, you see.

OOC: YEESSSS!! And so the seeds of a great legacy are planted...
"Tvinkletoes" stepped back well chastised, but with his fur fluffed to extremes and muttering about "crazy babblers". Hmmh.
Brighteye straight out laughed. BWAHHAAAHHAAA! Oh Twinkletoes, I believe you owe Lostthought an apology! But he did look cute when he was angry.
Yeah yeah. Sorry I snapped. Maybe we don't have to "glare hehtfully" at each other. Why did he just agree to that?
Oaksnout woke and trotted up. He cocked his head at Lostthought. New freeind?
OOC: I've gotten the impression that maybe some of you think that Autumnclaw's closer to Oaksnout's age, but he's an adult, near Brighteye's age. ^^. Just to clarify: ADULT. "Tvinkletoes!" XD.

Losththought shot a narrow-eyed glare at Autumnclaw. Jah...But if joo want glehr, joo just go on Tvinkletoe-ing....Fr'ehnd for now, jah? As Oaksnout awoke and approahced Losthought, the high-strung Birman jumped into the air, ACH! DOHG! He then proceeded to scramble up a ledge, out of the pup's reach. Flattening his ears to his skull, he hissed menacingly at him, JOO STAY AVAY FROM DEH LOS'DAWT! JAH JAH~!

Lostthought! He's not dangerous, he's my brother! See? Autumnclaw stood next to Oaksnout. He's harmless.
Brighteye nodded. Nothing to worry about, assured Brighteye. He was raised as a cat. Right Oaksnout?
The puppy smiled. Oaksnout frieeeeeeend. Who you?
