Snowstripe led the way to the main camp, tail swishing elegantly behind her. She approached the entrance and stood. The sight still astonished her, and she loved it. She leaned back on her flanks, awaiting their response.

It's lovely! Leafpool said as she looked around at the camp. It was very spacious and protected. A few cats walked around here and there.Where will Birchkit and I sleep though?
Birchkit walked in after his mother. His new home was very big and very rocky. He saw a leaf floating around a little ways off and he flattened himself to the ground, with his little rump shaking back and forth before he pounced onto the leaf. He grabbed it in his mouth and shook it from side to side as if it were prey.

Hmm, Over there in the Nursing Den. When Birchkit can become an apprentice, you'll both be moved. She looked down at Birchkit and smiled. Some techniques could've been perfected, but he was on the road to become a great Warrior. Snowstripe knew it.

Ok I understand about Birchkit moving when he was older, but why would I move? I couldn't be a warrior as I do not know the fighting techniques and such. Leafpool replied as she tilted her head to the side a bit.

Hmm.. I see your point. She looked around thoughtfully. I don't see why you wouldn't, however I'd double check that with our leader. She looked at her gently, sage eyes looking her over.

Yes, I will. I've heard of cats being queens. Maybe I could do that. That way I could help provide the clan with more warriors. Leafpool said with a thoughtful look on her face.

She returned the thoughful look. Yes, I suppose that would very much help the clan. She looked sadly over her shoulder at the small number of cats moving around the camp.

You know Leafpool, if you wanted, we could get you a mentor and you could learn the ways of the warrior.Featherstar heard the conversation and felt sorry for the queen. If she wanted to learn how to be a warrior, then the leader wanted to make that happen. Or, you could just continue to have kits. But I don't know how much of a life that would be. What do you want to do?(OOC the posts always look bigger in the little box.  )

Leafpool turned to her leader and thought for a moment.I could learn the ways of the warriors, but I think it would be better for me to be a queen. There are others cats like Birchkit who would have an easier time learning fighting moves and such. I could help with simple things though. I know how to hunt so I could help with that, but I think my place is to provide the clan with new,strong warriors. She finished as she looked on at her leader. She would much rather be a queen than to put another cat through the trouble of teaching her how to fight. If the time comes though where I am needed to fight, then I will use what moves I know and some that I may pick up around the camp, then I will fight to the death to defend Stoneclan.

Ok, then your den may permanently be the nursery. I hope you will find the camp comfortable. When Birchkit is ready, I'll make sure he gets a good mentor.Featherstar smiled. Leafpool dipped her head at her new leader. Featherstar was so much nicer than the Treeclan leader had been. Yes,I am already very comfortable her, and I'm sure Birchkit is too. She said as she looked over at her kit rolling around with the same leaf. If clan cats still go by the 6 moon apprentice rule, then Birchkit should be able to be apprenticed soon as he is 5 and a half moons already. Leafpool finished as she sat up proudly at the thouht of her only kit training to be a warrior.

That's good. Then he should be apprenticed soon after the Gathering, I suppose. That's good. The clan could use more apprentices, for they'll grow up to be warriors for the clan.(OOC once again, sorry for shortness.  )

She's right Birchkit. Don't interrupt. It's not polite. But now that you're here, do you like it in the camp?Featherstar was beginning to like this kit. He wasn't afraid to speak up and that could be good. Of course, it could work against him too. That's why he needed to learn his place quickly.But you will soon learn the warrior code and, I have no doubt, you will be a great warrior someday.

Sorry Featherstar,but I love it here! There's so much room to play and I could practice fighting and stuff. I'm gonna be the greatest warrior in Stoneclan! Birchkit replied. He liked his new leader. She wasn't all bossy like that other she-cat he had met.

Okay but the first rule of the warrior code that you must learn is you can't go off hunting by yourself, or really at all, until you're apprenticed. We need to know where you are.Featherstar spoke gently, she didn't want to upset the adventurous kit too much.But don't worry, you'll soon be apprenticed and your mentor will take you hunting enough to make up for it.Featherstar smiled and hoped the kit would understand why he couldn't hunt.

Yes Featherstar. I'll stay in camp. I can't wait to be apprenticed!! Who will be my mentor? Birchkit asked excitedly. He hoped it would be someone like Snowstripe. She seemed very nice and she was a lot of fun.

Hmmmm. I am not sure at the moment. I'll decide later. I need to watch the new warriors and see who would be best suited to teach you. Don't worry, by the time you are apprenticed, I will have someone picked out to teach you well.Featherstar really liked this kit. She liked young cats. They were always willing to learn something new. She would enjoy watching Birchkit grow and become a strong warrior for StoneClan.
