Return from the Gathering

<sub>Many cats yowled their agreement, and Snowstar was thrilled she was making at least an approved choice of her clan members. But there was one voice who stood above the others, who spoke of wary disagreement. Loveless.. The cat she had least expected to go against a leader's choice.

Don't get her wrong, now she was curious, and his words made sense. Chainless... Was right. She hadn't been here in so long... What if she had been attacked as well??

Very well.. Loveless, your words make sense. Which is why I wish to set you and Pinedark on an important mission:

Find Chainless. I will take some of my skilled warriors to the gathering. I apologize to the both of you for not allowing your coming to this Gathering, when you were set to guard the camp, but your mission is the most important of all. However, these three, She indicated with her muzzle her three boisterous kits. Shall remain with Jadepaw to be taken care of while Chainless was away. I know she disappeared so long ago, but I trust you know what to do?

Warfox!! I wish you to accompany me to this gathering as well. However, you will accompany me as my Deputy. Your Ceremony will be held when the time is right, but not today... I apologize, but.. interuptions.. came about, but your opinion is valued.

Dragonpelt, Brindleflame, Silverwhisker, Honorpaw, Valorpaw, Røckwell, Chikara, Rhapsody, Denali, Disco, Lostthought, you all will accompany me to the gathering. All of you will keep your guard up, and be wary of everybody, I have no care whom they are.." She said, glancing around her.

"Spellbound, Lostcause, you will guard the camp. And.. Make sure the three kits do not get out this time, She yowled. She was not so sure of brinking the five curious.. cats... They had never proven themselves in battle yet, but neither had they ever come to a gathering. And, well, that Lostcause was a tad oblivious to come to a gathering that was fraught with peril... She expected Spellbound to look after her.

You will tell nobody of our plan to attack the rogues, am I clear?

Røckwell had been quietly dozing in the Warrior den, curled in the tightest ball he could. Sleeping in the same space with all these other toms...well, they would probably find Røckwell's alignment creepy, so he did his best to distance himself from them. He preferred sleeping among she-cats.

The gay siamese tom had spent most of his time lately exploring the territory, and little time in camp. He now knew every rock and pretty flower, but few of his Clanmates well.

Now, hearing his name, he woke and bounded from the den.
With creamy white fur which shaded to light, rich chocolate brown at the points, wide green eyes, a fluffy tail, and one jauntily folded ear, he looked quite cute and cuddly; this image was enhanced by his inherent clumsiness. As he entered the main camp, he tripped over a pebble and tumbled to the dusty earth.

From where he lay, he watched Snowstar. Gathering?
How exciting!

And with his fellow...toms, too. Røckwell struggled to his paws and fell to the back of the small group of Gathering-chosen cats; all the better to see the surroundings. Røckwell hated to be hurried.

Oooh, a Gathering! How fun. Chikara had been in the warriors' den also, but he had been grooming himself and Utsukushi Sa. He suddenly stopped when his name was mentioned, and Utsu's head popped up, but he didn't go back to grooming, or apologize for stopping. He just smiled at everyone in the den and hopped to his paws, following Røckwell out of the den.

Chi too stayed at the back of the group. "Røckwell! How has your day been?" he purred. Then he remembered Utsu - he was only just outside the entrance to the camp, so he ran into the warriors' den and whispered a little 'sorrygottago' and bounded back out to Røckwell.

Rhapsody had been along the outside of the group of gathered cats, listening intently, yet not quite participating himself.
He was still wary among the Clan; he would have to properly socialize with them sooner or later, he realized.
Well golly, that would be hard.
Oh wait! Myabe not as hard as he thought!
He had been chosen to go to the Gathering. Oh joy!
And that my friends, was not a sarcastic 'oh joy'."
He truly did find it a joyous moment that the leader would choose him to go to a gathering.
Little did he know, this was anything but a joyous occassion.

Lostthought's ears pricked at the sound of his name; A Gathering you say?
And for possible combat?
The Birman would've jumped into the air and shouted something in happy exclamation, if it weren't for his pesky common sense being present. Darn. Maybe later.
You see, if it were one thing this crazy tom remembered from his mysterious past, it would be his love of battle. And what luck! He did remember!
Ready to kick some rogue tail.

Yang, a black and white tom and brother to Yin, listened intently to his young leaders orders. Anger and frustration passing in turns. He wanted to avenge his clanmate's death, but due to his own wanderings, he was often left in camp, to continue the chores of clan life until he was finally alotted a special mission. Until then... frustration.

The green eyed tom watched his companions leave for the gathering, before he turned slowly to volunteer to help bury their dead.
