Umberpa…no Umberwings smiled. The felling that coursed through her was truly indescribably, undeniable as what she felt for Rustshade. She…she was no longer a youngster by title, but now could be viewed as the she-cat she had become. Her head turned, eyes looking at Rustshade with a different sort of smile, one for him only.
There was the most delicate of sounds, like the tinkle of a bell. Umberwings glanced around, once, but it was obvious that only she heard it. Tail swishing once, she murmured softly.
“Demonkit..?”
It's now Demonjade…I am proud of you my sister.
Upon closing her eyes Umberwings could almost feel her brother there, pressing his muzzle along her head in pride.
But then, as she opened her eyes once again, he was gone.
Gone, but never truly gone. He, like with Honeymist and Oddeye and every Mistclan cat who had died while a part of this clan, would always be here. Looking over them.
“Congratulations everyone!”

Battledream had been rising to give her own congratulations to her warriorized apprentice and the others, when Lillystar’s finaly words of ceremony stopped her. The huge she-cat looked a bit lost for a moment, ears twitching a few times as amber eyes locked onto Lillystar.
…she had heard correctly, hadn’t she?
The she-cat stepped forward. She had no grand speech to make, but her words were true from her heart.
“When we first met and you granted me allowance to join your clan I swore to you that I would serve it with my life. That hasn’t chanced, and it never will. I would be honored to serve as your deputy.”

Trillium trudged slowly into the camp of Mistclan. The turkish van felt as if she didn't belong in the place. 'That's your own fault, dear.' she thought And to miss her apprentice getting her warrior name, what could she have been thinking? In a nearly submissive state, she approached Ripplepaw. No. Ripplemist, she had heard. What a beautiful name...
Ripplemist was nearly as large as Trilium now, and so Trillium looked at her straight on. "I don't think words can describe how sorry I am," she bowed her head, "This is a wonderful moment, and to think you've come this far."
Tenatively Trillium gave a small lick to Ripple's ear and then found it in herself to smile, eyes twinkling. "I am very proud, and you should be as well."

Bristlepaw was no more. Bristleclaw's small smile spread into a wide grin, and she nuzzled Wishclaw fondly. "Thank you, Lillystar," she whispered. After many moons of living with MistClan, Bristleclaw was finally a warrior. After many moons of putting up with all the duties that came with being an apprentice, Bristleclaw was finally a warrior. The large app--warrior glanced over at Umberwings. It was a lovely name, truly, and so was Ripplemist. She padded over to the two friends and smiled. "You two have been waiting for this for much longer than I have, and you really deserve it. Umberwings, you are going to be the best medicine cat ever!" Bristleclaw then turned and beckoned Wishclaw over, so that they could all celebrate.
Then, surprisingly, Bristleclaw ran over to Giddyheart and smiled. "Come on!" she mewed, then turned and ran back to the small group of newly named warriors. She and Giddyheart had never really gotten along, but this was a great moment. True, MistClan had lost many wonderful cats--Bristleclaw hadn't even been around when Honeymist was alive, but she knew of her children--the honorable Sunsetfire, the sweet Fallingsky...and the clever and devious Darkangel.
Bristleclaw did feel quite sorry for Ripplemist and Umberwings; both of their mentors had left them with much learning to do still, but obviously, both were great teachers as they'd taught themselves. Umberwings had taught herself most of the herbs, and everything a medicine cat must be, and that was quite a feat. But Umberwings was smart, and she'd done it all. Ripplemist had taught herself how to fight and hunt, mostly, and that was a wonderful thing.
But Bristleclaw felt lucky that Wishclaw had been around for her mentoring. The insane but funny she-cat was the first cat she made friends with in MistClan, and she felt lucky that the two had been chosen to be each other's mentor and apprentice.

Rustshade smiled. It was.. Such a beautiful name... Umberwings. So perfect, that the she-cat had seemed to send his heart aflight. He gave a small smile. The air was abuzz with activity, and they seemed to have everything covered anyways. "Yes.. Come, we will look outside of camp for Shadowstreak.." He spoke softly, getting to his feet, giving the new warriors one last fleeting look, his gaze lingering for half a heartbeat longer on his two best friends.. They had been through so much together. He was glad to have either of them by his side..
"Come," He said quietly, getting to his feet and setting off.

Andromeda grinned at Nyria and the other newly made warriors. As soon as it appeared everyone was going to mill about, and probably the meeting was over, she nudged Nyria in the shoulder.
"Congrats, apprentice mine no more!" she laughed, tail flipping gently at her feet willing to forget for the moment that they should be grieving. Maybe she just hadn't been around long enough to be grieving for people she didn't know. That and she'd always rather be happy.
She glanced around for Medium, wondering where her friend had got to. He should be here too!

Nyriashine and Lilacfrost giggled and chattered excitedly, and quite non-understandably to anyone but them and their half-sister, Bristleclaw. Nyriashine then glanced at her former mentor and smiled, running over to her. Lilacfrost trotted over to her huge former mentor, Battledream, and smiled. "So," the white twin mewed, grinning. "Happy to see that your apprentice has become a warrior?" Lilacfrost sat and nuzzled the giant she-cat warmly; she'd taken a quite the liking to her old mentor. Didn't most?
Nyriashine batted playfully at Andromeda, then gave her old mentor the same fond nuzzle. Nyriashine was a pretty name, and she was extremely grateufl to Lillystar for giving it to her. She'd heard her twin's little conversation with Battledream, and looked back at her old mentor. "What about you?" she purred. "Are you happy to see me as a warrior?" She nuzzled Andromeda again happily and awaited her answer.

Andromeda batted back at Nyria, both front paws off the ground for a moment before she lost her balance and was forced to resume using her front paws for standing on.
"Of course! How could I not be?" she laughed. They would all make fine warriors. She was very glad for them, but a part of her nagged that this only meant they'd be going to fight as well. She almost wished she wasn't staying.
Well, it was lucky that such a conundrum need not be solved now. She headbutted Nyriashine in the shoulder with such force she could have knocked her over.
"WHatcha gonna do now?" she asked.

She is the prom queen I'm in the marching band She is a cheerleader I'm sitting in the stands I get a little bit She gets a little more She's Miss America
A boring, dusky brown tom padded to stand beside Andromeda. His muddy amber eyes flitted curiously from cat to cat; bad news, good news.
Bad news: a battle broke on Gathering grounds.
Good news: new warriors and a new deputy.
"Congratulations," Medium meowed earnestly to the newly-made warriors.
And I'm just the boy next door [/blockquote]

She turned as Medium showed up, being perhaps one of the few who actually noticed when he was or wasn't around.
"HI MEDIUM!" she said, all caught up in the excitement of the moment, and balancing on her hind legs, batted at him as she had at Nyriashine.
She landed on all fours, and bowed like a puppy trying to convince someone else to play, hind end up in the air and tail flipping back and forth, front legs near the ground as she looked up at the others with her head tilted to the side.

Tinderspark nodded to his fellow felines and followed after Rustshade. He had no idea where his sister could be, but he had scented her in the camp. Although he remembered his sister's dark, leafy smell from birth, he could tell that this time it was stale. Trotting briskly, he trailed the cat who he hoped knew this terrain better than he did. Shadowstreak just had to be here somewhere...

[ poor Medium o.o Jadedrop is a cat I made up simply to be Contrast's mate and make Medium feel inferior xD Both will, in time, die ]She is the prom queen I'm in the marching band She is a cheerleader I'm sitting in the stands I get a little bit She gets a little more She's Miss America
Medium hesitated for a moment, seeming unsure.
He kind of liked Andromeda. Even though he was sure she wouldn't like him back, he didn't want to do something stupid. But she was a nice cat, wasn't she?
Grinning, Medium pounced at Andomeda playfully. "Your apprentice is a warrior, aye?" he asked curiously, batting softly at her with his average-sized brown paws.
A familliar figure caught his eye and distracted him. Glancing away, he glimpsed his sister Contrast padding silently at the edges of camp. She was not alone; Jadedrop, a newer MistClan warrior, was at her side. They were obviously 'together.' Medium's cheer faded slightly as he watched. Contrast was pretty and confident and outgoing. She got all the attention, and now it seemed she had found herself a mate. Medium, however, was boring, plain, and insecure. He had two or three friends, and a cat he seemed to be lightly crushing on, but... It wasn't quite jealousy he felt, but something more like regret, that his social life was not so effortlessly easy.
And I'm just the boy next door [/blockquote]

Rustshade took the path to the outside, tail held aloft, not minding the mist from the waterfall as Tinderspark may have been. In fact, it felt good after he stepped into the warming morning. He pounced from rock to rock until he landed upon the soft grass. He bent his head down, snuffling between the pieces of lush green grass that fed from the pond surrounding the fall. He turned his head, making sure the stranger was faring well on his well-known terrain, before continuing.
The scent... It was distant, but the scent was there alright. It was indeed Shadowstreak. Now to find where it led...

Nyriashine raised an eyebrow at Medium and Andromeda, and smiled. If she was trying to hide her liking for the tom, she wasn't doing a good job at all. The black she-cat yawned. "I kind of want to go hunting...you know, newly made warrior and all." She glanced Medium. "You two luffbirds want to come?" Nyriashine was only joking around, of course, but if they denied that little comment, they were totally in love. She turned and headed for the waterfall, while Lilacfrost mewed a friendly little 'I'm going to go see what's up with everyone else' and padded away.
Lilacfrost came to Tinderspark, but he was just leaving. Ah, little Murderkit...all he needed was a little understanding and love. Lilacfrost slipped beside him...And, well, October, who was sitting on the poor little guy. "Murderkit?" she mewed, hoping she would try to leap at him from under October's butt and rip out her eyes. "What's up, big guy?" True, he was getting quite large. She glanced at his scratched up legs and winced; why would he do that to himself?

The cat that was once Ripplepaw lifted her head up to gaze at the stars that were beginning to fade as the sun rose.
As an honor to being this Clan's first apprentice and to the she-cat who died protecting it... Honeymist.
Ripplemist broke into a smile and she rose to her paws, dipping her head in thanks and respect to Lillystar and turned to walk off. On the outside she appeared calm, but on the inside, she was speechless with excitement and felt like she could bound around endlessly. Her clanmates were all busy talking with one another, that was all good and fine for them, but Ripplemist had to use the pent-up energy inside her for pouncing on something. If she didn't reach the Grass Field soon...
Trillium!?
"Trillium!"
The Turkish Van was almost knocked over by the flurry of silver fur that used to be her apprentice. Getting up apologetically, Ripplemist grinned at her ex-mentor with an expression that was the epitome of happiness. "I miiiissed you, Trillium!" The newly-made warrior gave her a friendly nuzzle and stepped back. "You were gone so long I bet some of the other cats have already forgotten who you are!" she laughed, half jokingly. Remembering her urge to go hunting, she glanced over at where Bristleclaw was leaving camp and then back at Trillium. "Make sure you let Lillystar know you're back! I'm off to go hunting for the first time as a warrior!" she almost yowled with joy, and bounded off to the Grass Field.

If cats could blush, Andromeda would have done so. She flipped her ears forward and wrinkled her nose, grinning at Nyria. Her glance switched to Medium. She cooooould just outright deny liking him, but why bother? She wasn't very good at lying to anyone, least of all those who knew her.
"Yeah! I mean, I'll come hunting... it'll be like a big...hunting... party type thing. Yes," she said, trailing off into ineffective explanation.
Then she turned to Medium, looking at the side of his head, not at him, exactly, and nosed his ear before leaping backwards like she was attached to springs.
"You're coming with us, right?" she asked him.

Giddyheart smiled with glee! Thank you miss Lillystar! He jumped off of the rock. He wanted to just run to the Warriors den and find a nest, but Bristleclaw had called him over.
What is she up to?
When the tan tom saw the smile on her face, he guessed it was really genuin. Then he saw Ripplep... Ripplemist. He scowled, then guessed he should put it behind him. He had suffered enough, and didn't want to get into an arguement or shy away. This might have been his only chance to make friends with the large she-cat.

Murderkit writhed from under October, spitting and yowling as if he was being torn apart instead of being sat on. With claws unsheathed he tried and tried and tried again to get a hold on the senile black tom, to rip and shred and rend until he was freed, to do anything to get the stupid tom to move.
When the she-cat ventured over the red and white tom-kit slashed on paws her way, daring her to nudge her nose close enough so that he could swipe it. His ears were flattened tightly against his head, orange eyes dangerous narrowed slits.
If he was ever going to be a use to the clan he was going to need a firm paw to guide him, and some strict training at least. Anymore, there weren’t many cats who could get the wild kit to calm down and not hurt anyone else, or himself.
Honestly, he was just too old to be in the nursery. He was becoming a danger to the younger kits there with his increasing rough play with them, and his inability to stop himself after blood was drawn.

The orange masked white apprentice padded his way slowly into camp, only catching the end of the ceremony. All in all his appearance looked disheveled, but there was a reason for it. Earlier, he had been looking for his father, and had followed Hawkeye’s scent trail all the way to the Mistclan border, where it continued past it.
He…he didn’t know if his father was going to come back…
Tail hanging low he slowly, shyly, padded forward. Most of the new warriors were females, dear god, and although he, sadded by the loss of his mother and the abandonment of his father, still knew he had to congratulate them.
“Ummm…uhh…”
He started, looking around with wide ocean blue eyes. The size they were at the moment the silver flecks that accented them could clearly be seen.
“Con…congratulations everyone!”
Soon, he too would be a warrior. He hoped… Dodgepaw sent a glance back towards the waterfall, half hoping that Hawkeye would burst through at any more.
But there was nothing…
