Pawsteps, hard, against the cold ground reached the ears of a young she-cat. Terrified blue eyes, round with horror, dark with shadows, and a bright flash of light fur streaked across dark grasses, and against the shadowed skies.

The beautiful silky fur was streaked with brown mud, and scarlet blood; clawmarks hardened her flanks, and teethmarks around her throat.

Her thick, creamy fur was the only thing that had protected her. Breathing heavily, panting hoarsely, a beautiful young she-cat fell, two blue eyes growing cold and vacant. Flanks, covered in silky cream fur, heaved rapidly, until the breathing was dying down.

So was the flame beneath that fur that kept her alive. If someone didn't come along, the she-cat would die...

Lillystar padded around Mistclan's boundaries, checking for signs of intruders. Suddenly a sickly mixture of filth and blood swarmed her nose and she nearly gagged. She followed the smell, wondering what was causing it and noticed a pile of ragged fur that she recongized as a cat. The feline was seriously banged up and clearly on the verge of death, so Lillystar acted quickly. She swirled some cobwebs from the dewy grass around her paw and spread them onto the cats wounds, then she set off to find Silverthroat, hoping that she could return with their medicine cat in time to save the stranger.

Peach opened her blue eyes lightly, hazy, as the faint outline of a lean cat came over her gaze.

The cream-colored cat sat and let herself be treated; not a word escaped her lips. The cat's fur fluffed up in fear as the cat left; she let a rasp of terror escape her throat.

"No..." she hoarsely choked after the cat was gone, "They'll come back, they'll come back..."

Her voice was drowned in cries of terror, and she tucked her head beneath foreleg, two suffocate the deep sobs ripping from her throat.

They'd come back!
