[ eheh, let's pretend Prip has been gone for a bit xD ]satan, satan, lend me a dollar.
Pripyat entered the battlefield, his ears up and alert. But he did not engage anyone, and his eyes were occupied with only one thing: finding Spiderlilly. Low anxiety thudded in his chest. What if she was dead? What if she was injured? Pripyat closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them.
He found Spiderlilly.
She was running beside another she-cat, and she was undoubtedly alive. Pripyat grinned. Of course she was! What cat could take down someone like her?
He turned and dashed off, moving at an angle to close the distance off between them. In all the chaos, he nearly lost sight of her; but just as planned, he burst out moments later and landed several tail-lengths ahead of her.
The black tom's face was still smudged with blood from his kills, and there were cuts on his face, but he looked both happy and fierce. Spiderlilly was alive and he was in battle and he had tasted blood and all was right with the world. "Hi, Spiderlilly," he said. [/blockquote]

Spiderlily dead or injured?
Pfft.
The she-cat was just too awesome to die in something as silly as a war. The mere fact this was, indeed, such a fight fazed the she-cat naught, for you see, she and Dreamreaper had seen and fought within such conflicts within the past. Her darling sister had left the grand city before she had, left the wars amongst the gutter cats, but Spiderlily knew she too remembered those days.
Oh the carnage; the fun~
It was there, that Spiderlily had first achieved her title as a feared executioner.
It was here, where she put it to good use.
In the chaos, it wasn’t surprising that both she-cats reacted quickly when someone rushed out at them. Spiderlily almost instantly recognized her blood-splattered comrade, using a paw to stop the stunning she-cat beside her.
“He’s one of ours, Dreamreaper.”
An ally, and yet so much more.
Dreamreaper humphed a little and stalked a bit to the side, looking for their next target, itching to dig her claws into cat flesh.
“Everything go well Prip?”

satan, satan, lend me a dollar.
Pripyat grinned his classic manic grin, showing off razor teeth that had tasted blood very recently. "Flawlessly," he purred. "I killed six RisingClan kits and destroyed their food storage. All three guards are incapacitated, although I did not have the time to devour them." He looked slightly put-out at this.
There was noise and color everywhere. War. Pripyat could smell blood and was happy at it. But instead of leaping into the fray, he looked very carefully at Spiderlilly, his blue eyes checking for wounds. She looked unharmed, and this, too, cheered him. In a very soft voice he said, "Of course it was idiotic to worry. You fight too well to get hurt." He had been worried, too. That was part of his feelings about Spiderlilly: he wanted to be nearby in case something happened, to if not protect her than at least to back her up, because she was important. [/blockquote]

Flawlessly?
Spiderlily smiled, one of her slow dangerous ones that she only showed when Pripyat was around. Of course it had been flawless. This was Pripyat. He couldn’t do anything wrong when it came to properly killing.
“A pity. Perhaps you should have put the kits’ remains in the fool clan’s fresh-kill pile.”
Oh, now that would have been funny.
Idly, Dreamreaper observed this. If she knew her sister as well as she once did, before they had fallen from the other’s side…
In any case, it wasn’t her business. They needed a target. Hm…
Pripyat’s blue eyes were on her, instead of the warfare around them. Instead of being surprised like she perhaps should have been, that the tom’s full attention was on her and, seemingly, nothing else; Spiderlily leveled her yellow-amber gaze to meet his directly.
“You were worried?”
There was an odd note, in her voice, a touch of puzzlement. Pripyat, worried? About her no less…
Besides for the minor scratches, he was okay though. The sight of that brought such a huge flood of relief to the killer, that it was startling.
….but why was it such a relief?
She knew his skills. Had faith in them. Why did it make her happy that he was alright?
Maybe now wasn’t the place to question this. Maybe it was. She didn’t know.

[ i've actually put a bit of thought into how Pripyat would say something important like this. o.o ]satan, satan, lend me a dollar.
"Of course," Pripyat meowed, almost puzzledly. His worry had departed altogether; she was fine. She would be fine. He looked away, scanning the battleground with interest. When he spoke again, he spoke with perfect nonchalance, as if he were commenting on the weather; "I am fairly sure I love you, after all."
He spoke as if he were mentioning a fact of life, permenant and unchangable. He continued to examine the cats around him, one ear turned toward Spiderlilly--some part of him was always looking out for her. After a moment, he gestured toward a particular cat with his tail. "Let's kill that cat," he said eagerly.
Just another day in the life of Pripyat. [/blockquote]

Well.
….well.
…weeeeeell…
Spiderlily was at a loss for words.
The street-cat stopped for a moment, one paw raised, as the dark tom spoke.
Heh. Only Pripyat could say something like that as if he were commenting on how the hunting was on such a day.
The tabby laughed; the odd-placed sound cutting through the sounds of battle. Her sister was smirking, looking at them with icy eyes, but the Boneclan murderess cared not at all.
“Yeh. I know the feeling.”
Such an admittance lasted shortly, as she strode forward to stand next to Pripyat, as he picked out a particular cat.
Oh.
“Niiice one. Let’s get her.”
The tabby purred, leaping forward.
With a smirk still hovering on flawless muzzle, the Duskclanner Dreamreaper leaped forward to join the two in their hunt, the final end for one particular cat.

Rip up the pretty flower beds...
Furious cries of courage and pain overwhelmed Lillystar's ears. Like rumbling thunderheads, the battle had begun with a clashing of sound. All the fear that she had buried for so many moons suddenly bubbled up into her chest and as she opened her maw to speak, a slight quip of fear changed the pitch of her voice.
"We fight now my warriors, my apprentices, my dearest family...fight hard, do not falter, show them what true cats are made of...and what StarClan thinks of demons such as them!" she said strongly. "I release you now, go out and help us win this war!"
Claws and teeth agleam, I may be running into my death...
Dragonpelt's fur bristled and a savage snarl tore from his throat. Typically a composed and ferociously honorable tom, now his blood boiled for vengeance. Against the clans that had spawned such demons as Anarchy, who harmed his children. For the murders of his clanmates, for all the wrongs BoneClan had done in this forest. Daring to leave his mate's side, he sprang into the fray.
I want your blood, I want your soul, I am not a vampire...I am worse...
Scythepaw's blood thrilled, the battle was begun! She ran to Panic's side and kept pace with him. Her strange and wonderfully homicidal mentor was well ahead of them, but her crimson eyes kept a hold on his figure. She would watch him kill, that was a certainty. For now though, she sought out an opponent that she and Panic could destroy.
Even this wave will never wash away the blood...
The tall blue-hued cat was amazed by the turmoil she saw before her. Neon green eyes watched the terror from a spot high on the hill, near the StealthClan leader. A unique tom; Sunsetfire was. Although she knew little of why she fought here, she was honored that it was for him that she did. Now if only an opportunity would present itself.
A war is good for none...and bad for all...so what is gained?
The massive black tom strode across the battlefield, searching for some adversary that would match his strength. One eyes was always inclined toward Kestrel, never letting his mate too far out of his sight. For a while it seemed there was no cat to challenge him, then he saw a strange thing. A group of three cats; two toms and she-cat all padding together. They smelled of no clan, so who were they? Whatever they were here for, it could not be good news, not by that distinctively malicious grin the one male bore.
There's always something in my way, but this time I shall enjoy destroying the roadblock...
A silver-black serpent of a cat; Anarchy prowled on to the scene. His demonic orbs brightened especially when he spotted Chasm. Orange-gold, they seemed to swell with fire when he took in the appearance of the bulky black and silver deputy.
"Ahh, and so it begins..." he purred, his lips curled into a very sadistic grin. He motioned for his two companions to come closer.
This land will be mine...
An unfamiliar cat padded up beside Anarchy. A bengal-ocicat tom, with fur the color of sand marred with dried blood. His golden eyes were not the warm, moltent glow of Lillystar's, but rather the cold-hard color of solid gold. His were eyes that hungered for power. An equally twisted grin turned his face as he recognized the reason behind Anarchy's demeanor.
"We should explain why we're so happy to see him, don't you think so Anarchy?" he said, humor in his cold voice. "Otherwise he may think we're nuts and even if we were, he would stand no chance!" "You agree of course, don't you Hiddenwrath?"

Kestrel zigzagged through the battlefield; had it not been for her prodigious agility, she would have lost her footing. Many BoneClanners would target her for attack, so she did her best to keep from lingering in any one place. Not until she had found who she was looking for. Bane. That black-hearted son of a bitch. Kestrel's eyes narrowed at the thought.
She caught sight of Chasm and materialized from the chaos to stand beside him. "Chasm," she murmured, but before she said anything more she noticed his puzzlement. Following his gaze, she laid eyes on three rogues, one of them she reconized. "Anarchy?" she hissed in suprise. The cat who had taken one of her warriors as a mate, no? It had to be him, and that she-cat might be Hiddenwrath. "Those cats seem to be showing some sort of interest in you, Chasm," Kestrel said warningly, her mismatched eyes flashing. [ she's going to get attacked from behind by Melee so she won't try to participate in the fight ^^ ]

Post by Sunpelt on Oct 30, 2007 22:47:15 GMT -5
Sunpelt strode confidently strung out among his clanmates. This was war, and every cat in Treeclan was ready. They were prepared, trained, and willing to fight, to die for their life, their leader, their clan...their honor. There was nothing more pleasing then to be fighting with cats he had grown up with, respected, and cared for. Sunpelt knew this, felt this, in every pawstep, every breath. He'd die, rise again, and do it all over again if he had to. He was ready.
At the top of the rise, Sunpelt eyed his enemy below. Treeclan didn't have the advantage here. Their skills was in their ability to climb trees, but here there were none. Even so, their ability to jump high, necessary for the clan life they lived, would be very useful...
The golden tom stood near Onyx, his tail flicked out, touching her shoulder to catch her attention. "Remember, Onyx, our advantage here is our ability to jump." He paused, knowing full well that she knew this... After all, she has been a warrior for many moons now. He nods, keeping his eyes on his enemy. "We fight for honor. Remember that, too."
Sunpelt tensed, ready for the call from Amberstar. Shortly thereafter, they were off, following the lead of their mistress and thrusting their way in the heart of the Duskclan and Boneclan cats.
[glow=black,2,500]The silver and dark tabby she-cat stared nervously at the cats below. Ahava has never had the need to learn how to fight, but for the past two moons that is all she has had really time for. Lillystar, her leader, was kind with her, giving her many mentors to suit her needs for the day. They, in turn, were patient with her. Having never unsheathed her claws to any but prey, she had a lot to learn.
Back home she-cats never had to fight... Oh this is so wrong! Ahava thought. And it's true, at home, only tom's could go to war, she-cats took care of their kits and other such tribe duties, so this is a very new experience for her. Obviously she's nervous about it.
When Lillystar yowls for her clan to the attack, the large Bengal she, hesitates, before propelling her limbs forward. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...[/glow]
The black and white tom cat stood ready with his clan mates. Yang felt slightly exposed, he was used to being with his near identical brother, but lately the tom hasn't seen him. Yin and himself were superior fighters, better, even, when together... But now there was no brother. And now, Snowstar just called the clan to battle.
Stealthclan has just arrived, the fighting has commenced, and the wiry little bird (that is what her name means) is anxious for the call. There's one particular she-cat she has in mind, and Zeporah is willfully involved in giving her a little pay back.
The black tabby and white queen lashes her tail. Her amber eyes narrowing as she watches the procession. In a few moments, Sunsetfire, a cat that the wiry warrioress doesn't see as her 'leader', though she respects him enough to listen, gives the call, and now the thinly built queen races down, caterwauling a challenge to any cat stupid enough to challenge her.
Duo stands with his clanmates, among Treeclan, but apart from. Greed, Colt .45, and Magnum. Those are the cats he knows best. And oddly enough, he can frankly say he likes them, despite their obvious quirks. Personally? He thinks they keep him along for the comedy relief, but that doesn't bother him. In fact, Duo rather loves making them laugh...
And right now... that is rather, rather tempting in such a serious situation... but he knows how important such a battle is to Greed and the gang... He knows that if he makes him mad now, which he likely will, there will be hell to pay later... Does he care? YeaaaaNnooomaybe...
His whiskers twitch. Magnum's tail is right in front of his face...To do are not to do? That is such a hard question! Amberstar calls. Ohp! Too late!

Onyx very nearly proved her superb jumping abilities when Sunpelt tapped her on the shoulder with his tail. For a she-cat used to going up a tree whenever something worried her or scared her, this wide open plain felt dangerously exposed. There weren't even any tall shrubs, she noted sadly as she slowed for a moment.
Then she was moving again, this time trying to keep up with the older Sunpelt, judging that he would be a safe one to stay with. [/center]

Bloodrose padded through the foliage. She saw a bundle of black fur. She looked to about, checking if her sisters were in sight. She carefully picked up the kit. She burned with a feeling of shame; she a BoneClan warrior, was showing mercy yet again. Her heart seemed frozen to other cats, but young kits hit a soft spot, she couldn't lift a claw towards one. She began to pad quickly, praying she would not be seen. She couldn't leave the kit to die.. what a horrible BoneClan warrior she was! She already refused to eat cat meat.. and now this. Her heart seemed to yowl with confusion and pain.

Duo charged into battle, following the path of his clanmates. Greed, Colt, and Magnum disappeared into the flood of cats, yowls, and cries of pain mixing and mingling, a fierce and deadly chorus that seemed loud enough to frighten off all the prey from here to the clan borders. Like an invisible observer, Duo stalked around fighting cats, seemingly invincible to the bloody intents of the rival clans. Duo made his way to the edge of the battle, keeping an sharp eye and ear out (Who can hear anything in this?!), offering a helpful claw wherever he could.
Here, he could see the mass of cats writhing and wriggling like the sea. For a brief moment, he wondered how amazing it was to see so many cats all in one place, but then a spot of movement at the edge of the fight caught his attention. It was a long-furred black she, running away from the fight. For a moment the gold and white tom hesitated, thinking that it was just some rogue caught in the wrong place at the wrong time... but then a strong stench of Boneclan wafted into his nostrils.
Without any further thought he pelted after the she, intent on making her escape far more difficult then she planned... With a final push of his haunches, he launched himself at the she-cat... The curve of his claws glinting in the sunlight.
OOC: This is Sunpelt, btw, Runner.

Bloodrose turned at the last moment, seeing the leaping tom. No time to flee. The kit squeaked in terror from beside her. Her fur stood on end, as she watched the shape descend, her mind going to slow-motion.
I should have left the kit.
I should have stayed with my sisters.
I shouldn't have hesitated.
I should have tasted catmeat with my sisters. I'd only have to eat it once in a while.
I shouldn't be in BoneClan.
A thousand thoughts whirred in her brain like flies in greenleaf.
What if I never see my sisters again?
Why should I care? They were only ever negative and critical, falling upon my every error.
Why have I been putting up with them?
Suddenly, a small voice spoke inside her head.
Because they're your sisters. You know they love you, no matter how horrible they are.
Bloodrose snapped back to reality. She was a Cerise Sister, and she would fight. Her eyes blazed with fury, her teeth bared, the sun illuminating every detail down to the blunt lower right canine where the tip had been chipped off. Her jaws parted into a yowl of fury and defiance, the overture of battle.

[Whose house are you hauntin' tonight?]
Purrrr. Puuurrrrr. Riippp.
Now who's that in the middle of the fray? Her pretty little self tearing down Boneclanners and Duskclanners alike? Why it's Magnum, the Treeclanner whose leader was not Amberstar but in fact Greed. "Oh Duo," she hissed delicately. Poison. Poison flowed sweetly off her tongue, as she turned to one of Greed's other cronies. Oh, Magnum? She was no crony, but in fact the one who would bring about Greed's group's future. She got around. But Greed was her main tom: He was the one who Magnum flirted and hung out with the most. She stayed by his side constantly, never leaving except when she needed a bit of 'alone time.' Back to the battle. "Duo, remember what I said?" Slice. Another one bites the dust. "Back when we first came to Amberstar's cute little clan?" Crack. "I said that you shouldn't be allowed to fight unless some one was supervising, 'case you go crazy and kill every cat." Smirk. "No supervision, love."
You see, darling, Magnum always thought of Duo as an insane ass: If he got too into things, he would destroy everything in his path. Now Magnum hadn't spent much time with the silly boy, but she did spend some time with him. He was, of course, a tom. And Magnum was always with toms. A sweet, almost serpentine hiss slipped from her maw. A little Duskclan apprentice cowered before her. "What are you doing in such a big fight, love?" she hissed softly, and with a snap of her jaws, sent the little cat flying.
Because Magnum wasn't a cruel cat; she took pity on young kitties, but really didn't like them all that much. It was just that she knew 'young cats are our future, let them live,' blah blah blah. Dear Maggie wasn't about to be lectured on that again.

Scarlet slashed at a cat, fighting her way through the mob. She was separated from both of her sisters. Crimsonblade, Bloodrose, where are you? She shook her head. She didn't need them to survive. She hissed and leapt at a cat, releasing her frustrations in a frenzied scrabble of claws. When the cat fell to the ground, she stopped and licked her claws clean of blood.

Duo's eyes widened at the sight of the kit, but there was nothing he could do now... He landed on top of the she, but with a flick of his white tail, he unbalanced himself, rolled onto his shoulder, and pushed off with amazing strength and exuberance you wouldn't expect from a casual prankster. Magnum, the gray she of his 'clan', gave him his tip. He flicked his golden ears in acknowledgement, but his claws flexed, in and out, in indecision. Any Boneclanner he came across was to die. That was what Greed said. If he didn't... Well matters could be taken up with him... And when Greed's not happy... no one was... Ears flattened, orange eyes glaring balefully, questionably, at the she.
"What are you doing with that kit, Bonec****er?" He asked, his fur twitching, fully aware that Magnum was watching.

"That's none of your business," hissed Bloodrose. "But I found it if you must know. I was trying to get it away from the fight. But if it's a fight you want, it's a fight you'll get!" She punctuated the last words with a growl that escalated to a hiss, then finally to an angry yowl. She unsheathed her claws. There's no turning back now, a voice in her head whispered.

Duo's fur bristled, tips of his fangs baring... She'd better be careful... I may be the comic relief but I sure do know how to fight... "What? To eat it? Every cat knows Bonecr***ers are cannibals. Pathetic piece of fox dung!" Countered Duo, his powerful shoulders rolling as he stalked, circling the she-cat and her meal.
